Ping an IP host to see if it's reachable

I'm new to ISY, perhaps this feature is available already with the network module? It would be handy to be able to ping a TCP/IP host on your network to see if it's turned on. Especially if a person were to have non-insteon control equipment like GC-100, iTach, etc.. It would be useful to know if they are reachable, and if not send an alert..
