Hi all,

So now I am trying to execute some basic REST control of my insteon devices from a web browser. I have upgraded to the latest ISY beta 2.8.4

 

My ISY has a static IP on my network.

I have the device ID of a test Insteon switchlinc device (12.5A.25).

 

Could you tell me in the simplest way how to try out a basic REST connection to turn the light ON/OFF?

 

I have been trying (in Chrome, FF, IE) this with no joy:

http://admin:admin@MY ISY IP:MY ISY PORT/rest/nodes/12%205A%2025/cmd/DON

both with and without the %20 with no luck. I got a 404 error.

 

Any tips on just making sure i can execute a REST command?
