2413S Dual Band PLM

The 2413S does not supply power. You need an external power supply.

Smarthome has one and many here have used their own as the ISY99i has a fairly wide voltage acceptance.

You could find a suitable one at many electronic supply vendors. Like Radio Shack.

The 2413S also does not have a ground pin so that is normal.

The ground pin in a 2412S only connects from the rear male pin to the front pass through female jack. It has no connections to the internal circuitry at all.

Thanks Brian

My post is a perfect example of where you should read the manual first :-)

Thanks again

I appreciate this post. Just went to connect my new 2413S (Dual Band) PLM to find the ISY was wasn't working any more. Very surprised to find it requires its own power source now and that the 2413S isn't supplying. I plugged in an old 9V power supply; seems to work fine.

Guess I didn't read first either.

9 volts should be fine.

I asked about the voltage range in this thread.

On the bottom of the 2413S sales page. They do show an optional ISY Power Supply, but it is not very obvious.

Perfect. Always good to know the range. I had a number of 12v adapters, but was a little anxious to use one of them as I knew SH was selling the 5v, 1a adapter. Thanks for sharing that.
