First steps with my new Isy.

I have just got my Isy and I'm juet beginning to set it up. I have slowly been switching over my X10 to Insteon and my home is now about 97% Insteon devices. I have a lot of work ahead of me to remove my CM11A and Heyu so I figured I would start with a few basics to get comfortable with the Isy.

I successfully added two devices to start with, a 2486D in my master bathroom and a 2476S in my kitchen that controls a flood light in my backyard. One of the buttons on the 2486D is to turn on the flood light. My question is how to link the two of them together. I know this can be done by hand, but I thought the recommendation with the Isy was to use it for all Insteon programming / linking. I have looking in the manual and through the admin console but I can't figure out this simple thing.

Welcome to the ISY family. Define an ISY Scene using the Admin Console using Link Management | New Scene. Right click on the KeypadLinc button, select Add to Scene.. . selecting the KPL button as a Controller. Right click on the SwitchLinc, select Add to Scene… and add it to the Scene as a Controller. The ISY assumes a Controller is also a Responder. Once the Scene definition has been written into both devices all the necessary cross-links will have been established by the ISY.
