Michel Kohanim Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 Sloop, Yes, it's IBM's WEME (Websphere Everyplace Micro Edition) runtime. No since most phones/PPCs are supported. Yes, if you can, PLEASE have someone from IBM contact me. I sure appreciate it. With kind regards, Michel is that ibm's java? will that limit the platforms that can access remotely? if you need a blue suit to contact you, i can probably do that Quote
Sub-Routine Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I know you have been working frantically on the ISY firmware, but I was wondering if there has been any news on UDMobile? Any updates to the J9VM? Any luck with Slooplinc's contacts? Thank you, Rand Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Hello Rand, We never got a contact name from sloop nor were we ever contacted. This said, however, since we want to support inexpensive touchscreens as well, we have started developing UDMobile on C/C++ portable platform. It's coming along slowly. I shall surely keep you updated with the latest. edfinley Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 HI, My goal with your product is to be able to control using my Sprint PDA phone (Windows Mobile PIE6) using the EVDO connection. If I'm reading this correctly you don't have any way of doing this now. Is that correct and are we close to a solution? Thanks, Ed by the way, so far this looks like a nice unit. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Hello edfinley, You are correct and we are very very close: we had to change direction due to the very high cost of SSL certificates ($90.00 per year per unit). But, we are very close and you will be able to access your ISY from any mobile phone. Thank you, Rand i am so sorry i forgot all about this - we are a little spooked about bending any rules - a coworker was sent down the road when he helped a guy find a job with an account - something we have all done and assumed our blue employer winked at - evidently, the guy that was hired did not work out so good because unauthorized charges appeared on some bank cards - we all got refresher classes on the rules and got to sign a form that said we understood those rules Quote

Charlie911 Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 How far away is contol software which would run on an Axim X30 running Windows Mobile? So far ISY works very well, even over the internet, and never misses a timer event. Now I want to contol things without going to the computer. Thanks for a great device, Charlie Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 Charlie, We are hoping to have this supported in our 2.7/8 release which would mean as soon as 45 days or as late as 120 days. f11 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I tried to access the ISY-99i from my iTouch Safari browser - perhaps I just missed a posting in another thread, but should this work? I can access the ISY at http://192.168.1.12/, which brings up the text-only My Lighting web-page with "Devices", "Scenes", and "Administrative Console" links. When I click on the latter link, the usual Universal Devices Login page at http://192.168.1.12/admin pops up, but no login dialog loads on top of it. But when I click on the Devices or Scenes links, I get the expected list of devices or scenes come up. If I select Devices and choose a lamp to turn off, I can click on "OFF" and the address bar changes to http://192.168.1.12/change but never completes the page load. Meanwhile, watching the ISY LEDs, nothing happens and the lamp doesn't go off. Should this work, or is the ISY web server compatible with the Safari browser? Rod Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 f11, The Admin Console will not work with any mobile phone and thus the reason for the HTML only version which is guaranteed to work on ALL mobile devices locally and on 95% of mobile devices on the net. Michel Kohanim Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Hi Rod, It SHOULD work! What version of firmware does your ISY run? Please try https://udi.isy-mobile.com ... I'll be watching it. f11 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I just downloaded and installed 2.6.3 and the ISY is working just fine from my desktop and the lights are doing their thing when commanded, so the upgrade went 100% (if only ALL upgrades for certain other OS's were that clean). Quote
f11 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I can log into the udi.isy-mobile.com from my desktop, but when I try it from my iTouch, I don't get the pop-up trusted certificate screen - the page just keeps trying to load and doesn't get there. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Hello Rod, Could you please try https://www.cnn.com and let me know if you can get in. If you are not given the warning, then it means that iTouch is simply ignoring the certificate and doesn't give you the option to choose. Are you sure you are using httpS? Does it ask you to login? Or, simply nothing? Please let me know, With kind regards, Michel I can log into the udi.isy-mobile.com from my desktop, but when I try it from my iTouch, I don't get the pop-up trusted certificate screen - the page just keeps trying to load and doesn't get there.
