C Martin Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Michel, or? Orchestrator ISY 992i What is the status of this device? Are there any preliminary specs out yet? Will this be both Insteon and Zigbee capable? Will there be a Beta Testing cycle and How can we participate? I am about to upgrade my HVAC system and I think that Zigbee might be a good deal. There are some commercial HVAC controls manufacturers who are using Zigbee now with wireless temperature sensors. Thanks, Clarence
Michel Kohanim Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Hi Clarence, 992i was a limited production run with external Zigbee SEP module to communicate with SmartGrid meters. 994i is similar to 992 but it has an expansion slot for the Zigbee module. We have two Zigbee modules: 1. SEP to communicate with Smart Grid meters. We cannot sell this module without going through your utility 2. Zigbee PRO which can now communicate with Brultech meters We do not have any Zigbee version that work with HVAC systems; Zigbee is NOT interoperable unless all devices are using the same profile. In short, based on what I hear from you, I do not think any of these devices would meet your requirements. With kind regards, Michel
C Martin Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 Are you planning ZWave compatibility? Just exploring all options for future uses?
Michel Kohanim Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Hi Clarence, No ZWave planned ... With kind regards, Michel
