Strange Buzzing Sound

Hi Guys;

 

I've just bought new switchlincs and a new KPL.

I hooked them up properly and when I throw the breaker back on I hear a very short buzzing sound for just a second and then it's gone.

 

I also hear this after I let go of the set button when I press it to link them.

 

I wondering if anyone else has heard this.

The latest KPL has a beeper in it. According to the sales page.

I believe the SwitchLincs may also have beepers now.

I wounder if maybe they beep on power up.

Its an odd beep then. It sounds more like an electrical short than a beep.

 

I can only assume that's the beep they are mentioning.

Well I have no modules new enough to have the beep features.

I understand a wiring problem or incorrect load will make them sound a warning.

So rechecking everything can't hurt.

As a simple test just create a program to repeat beep every couple of seconds, run Then on that program and then go to the kpl and verify that is the noise you are hearing when power is applied or the set button is released.
