DBaldwin Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I want to turn off my outside lights about 9 pm. If From Sunset To 9:00 pm Then Front deck lights on Else: NADA However, I am far enough north that when I get close to the summer solstice, Sunset might not be until 9:40 pm. I suspect that the ISY will turn on the front deck lights at Sunset but not sure. Any ideas as to what will happen? Quote
upstatemike Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 What if you do 2 events? 1st event turns the lights on at sunset. 2nd event turns the lights off if the time is 9PM OR 10PM. (Of course when sunset is at 8:59 the lights will be on for a very short time... but maybe that is what you want?) Quote

In your example, when sunset comes after 9:00PM the ISY will not turn on the lights. In general, a time range will never turn something on/off if the From date/time is greater than the To date/time. DBaldwin Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 Thanks Chris: That is good to know and simplifies the coding. Dave Baldwin Quote
