Unable to Link 2477SA1 Load Controller (Dual Band) to ISY99

Bought a couple of Load Controllers last year to run my 240V Patio heaters. Just now got an electician to install and can't link to my ISY99 or to any other devices. I have linked an ApplicanceLinc 2456S3 located right next to the Load Controllers and a 6 button 2486D KeypadLinc dimmer with the ISY today with no problem - worked first time. Therefore I don't think I have a communication problem within the system - just with the two Controllers.

When I tried to link to a Keypad button, I would seem to get a reaction sometimes, the Controller and Keypad stops blinking before the time out, but they don't seem to get linked. When I try to link to the ISY, I get the following message:

[-200000] Failed writing the highwatermark [N/A]

[-200000] Node not added - failed removing links [ (device address I entered)]

I have tried all three option re removing links, adding devices etc for adding a device on the ISY.

My ISY generally works OK otherwise and I only have about 20 or so devices on it.

Any ideas?

Thanks Michel

I will try moving the PLM and ISY close to the Load controllers when I have more time to spend on this ( it will be a bit of a task to do this)

However, I am able to program and operate an ApplianceLinc located right next to the Load Controllers in a receptical in the same panel as they are with no problems so I don't think this will make a difference.

The 240V Smarthome Load Controllers are very simple to wire - 2 line in's, 2 Load wires - so I can't imaging the electician wired something wrong. The controllers do control the load when I use the manual button on them.

Therefore, I am thinking there must be something wrong/defective with the two new controllers I got. Does this make sense? Is it worth trying to move the PLM given these facts?

OH - in addition, I do get the following message when the ISY is trying to find the controllers:

"[ (address)] Failed getting engine version. Reverting to i1"

I think I also get this message when successfully programing a new item like the ApplianceLinc so I was thinking this is irrelevant but thought I would add this fact.

Thanks for your help on this!

Sorry for the multiple posts but I forgot to say that the Load Controllers are controlling a purely resistive load - Patio Heaters so I don't know if they would produce interference. Certainly they are not provided any power in the programming process so I don't think that they could be interferring.

My ISY firmware is 2.7.15

When I got your question, I tried the "Start Linking method". I previously only tried by address and linking to a KeypadLinc.

I managed to get one of the controllers to be listed on the ISY but I am unable to control it. The screen shows the on/off buttons but no status. I went to another existing device that I can control and the status was blank too but I could still control it.

Got somewhere further but not far. I am thinking I should be updating the firmware but have been avoiding it until I am sure I need to. Last time I updated, I lost all of my links and scenes and had to start over.

Back at it after being away for a while. I updated to the latest ISY software release and am now able to control the one Load Controller that I managed to link to the ISY previously. However, I am still not able to link the other Load Controller which is wired into the same panel and located right next to the one that I was able to link to. If I try to link by address, I still get the "reverting to i.1"message and the error messages I noted previously. I have now moved my ISY and PLM right next to the Load Controllers and plugged into the same panel. Before and after I moved the PLM, I noticed that when I use the "Start Linking" method, my PLM (2413S V1.0) starts buzzing and ticking when I put the Load Controller in linking mode but will still not link. The PLM will continue to buzz even after the Load Controller moves out of linking mode until I send another command from the ISY or unplug it. The PLM otherwise works fine with the other Load Controller and all the other things on my system.

I am beginning to think that there is a problem with the one Load Controller, the PLM or both. Any more ideas/suggestions?

Tried both factory reset and reversing the wires on the circuit breaker. Unfortunately, no difference. PLM still buzzes and no linking the 2477SA1 Controller.

Anything next?
