What and when are the chances of having the ability to have some of the system variables such as day, date and year, available to our programs?

Would you be kind enough to let me know in what use-case would you need those variables? Those variables are already implied in the Schedule conditions.

I know that someone has created an elegant but somewhat complicated program set for determining the day, month and week. I actually downloaded that program but it took over some of my existing variables and the complications involved are a bit tough.

But it would be great if we could get that data directly from the ISY.

I schedule events that happen on a seasonal basis, so being able to calculate program variables based on what month it is or even between months would be great.

I know that I can decide what day it is from the programming functions now. But calculations between dates without having to worry about a specific year would be great.

Under the Configuration Tab you have System Variables, that would be a good place for getting that type of information for programming.

Thanks for the explanation. In short, you would like to have the ability to use months (without year) in your programs. This is one of the requirements we are tracking and should have it implemented one of these days.
