I am using 99ipro IR. Yesterday I linked a appliancelinc to the system. All was working fine. Today it was also, then it got a not responding error. Could access it on the bottom of the screen turn on and off. No timer response. I deleted the module. Now I am trying to add it again and it wont link. Reset the Appliancelinc to factory settings. No link. Now I am stumped!!!!!!

Unplug the Access Point for 60 seconds. Without tapping PLM Set button plug in Access Point and observe LED. I think a steady dim LED will be observed. Now repeat the same test but with the PLM 4 Tap active. Does the Access Point LED show a different indication when the Access Point is plugged in and the PLM is sending test RF message.

The problem is Smarthome has combined the User Manuals for Access Points V2.0 and above but the examples of expected results do not include a v2.0 Access Point with a white LED.

Ok, when I unplug the accsess point, wait 60 sec and plug back in I get a dim steady light. (no change in PLM while doing this) Then unplug the PLM wait 60 sec and plug backin, green light on, tap button 4 times, light steady green and beeping sound, (this has no effect on the light on the access point)

The RF signal from the PLM is not reaching the Access Point. There should be some positive indication of the Access Point LED that an RF signal is being received. It will have a different positive indication depending on whether on the same 120 V leg or the opposite 120V leg.

Move the Access Point to the same circuit as the PLM and whatever Access Point LED response from a 4 tap on the PLM will indicate RF received but on the same 120V leg. Move the Access Point around the 1st floor until a positive indication is seen that is different from when plugged into the same circuit. May be necessary to keep the Access Point on the 1st floor on the opposite 120V leg.

On the below 2.0.

If the second Access Points LED is still dim. It is not receiving the RF from the first one.

If the second Access Points LED is flashing bright. It is receiving the RF but on the same phase as the first one.

If the second Access Points LED is steady Bright It is receiving the RF from the first Access Point and on the other phase.

It may briefly pulse dim between tests but mostly steady bright.

The full users manuals if you don't have them are here. For both the below 2.0 and above 2.0.

Brian

The problem is his Access Points are v2.0 with White LEDs. The User Guide that is pointed to from the sales page for v2.0 and above describes the results in the context of a Red Green LED response, nothing about a v2.0 White LED response.

Thanks for posting the below 2.0 information.

You are very welcome. The links to the User Guide and Wiki that Brian posted make good sources of reference. You will find the ISY user community very helpful with questions and the UDI support is the best in the industry. Hope you enjoy the ISY as much as we do.
