jacobs-gc Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I would like to be able to program control the On/Off state of a Keypadlink or Controllink button without manual intervention. Unless I have missed something (quite possible) I can't find a way to set a button On or Off in the Then or Else. Is there a reason why this capability is not available in the ISY? Is there an alternative solution?
LeeG Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 jacobs-gc The ControLinc is a Controller only device, no Responder capability. The Secondary KeypadLinc buttons can be turned On/Off but it must be done with a Scene. Define a Scene with the Secondary KeypadLinc button as a Responder and turn the Scene On/Off. The KeypadLinc firmware does not support Direct control over Secondary KeypadLinc button LEDs. Lee
jacobs-gc Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks Lee, I appreciate the info. Gerry
nlaredo Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Thanks LeeG! Most useful tip ever. I was having this very same issue today after I created a program triggered by a scene button. I wish the software would auto-create a scene with all keypad buttons as responders so I didn't have to drag them in one by one to create a true "all off" or "all on" for the buttons.
