elvisimprsntr Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 BACKGROUND A developer has demonstrated using SIRI to control his thermostat using a SIRI proxy server. I assume this requires one to enable a proxy for their home WiFi connection and will work until apple changes the protocol. video of thermostat voice control http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/21/deve ... ntrols-th/ more info http://www.reghardware.com/2011/11/21/c ... ant_proxy/ QUESTION Is it possible to host a proxy on the ISY to intercept SIRI traffic to control the ISY/Elk either using the networking module or a perhaps a new module? Or some combination of router settings and an ISY module? Is this something UDI or anyone else would be interested in? I know I would certainly purchase another module to have this capability. Elvis
Michel Kohanim Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Hello Elvis, This should be a question for the iOS developers as the proxy must run inside iOS and then issue network commands. With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hello nickoonce, So would I ... I think MobiLinc is working on it. I know Conductor has something that requires a computer to run: With kind regards, Michel
