LeeG
bocarob Can you provide some more detail. Linked responders not reacting, Program not triggering, etc. I am not able to recreate not seeing Fast On/Off from my RemoteLinc. bocarob
It seems that double click is not reacting every time tried new bat standing closer to the link i have to click very fast and it does not get the command every time i am just changing the value of a var for a test so it is not a device problem single click works every time. So I guess program not triggering is the problem Hope that helps a little bit Robert
LeeG
Thanks. Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer with Device communications events selected. When the Program does not respond to a double tap (Fast On) post that part of the event trace. The RemoteLinc may not be sending a Fast xxx command. Also if you can post the Program I will set up that same Program here and try to recreate with the same definition.

LeeG
Great documentation, thanks. The RemoteLinc is not sending a Fast On or Fast Off, The Fast On command is 0x12 and a Fast Off is 0x14. LeeG
The Event Viewer provides the definitive information. The LTON-F (On-Fast) annotation by the ISY will indicate when a Fast On is received or look for a 0x12 command. RemoteLinc buttons can be difficult to double tap. Maybe watching the event viewer trace as the button is double tapped. It will show how fast the button must be double tapped for the RemoteLinc to generate a Fast xxx command. ToggleLincs are also difficult to generate a double tap Fast xxx because of the mechanics of the toggle.

wwat
Hi, Program failed to evaluate 'If' statement correctly. The particular program in question has been running without fail for the last 6 months, it was running this morning. Suddenly it failed tonight. I checked the 'If' statement and everything evaluated to true and status updates were arriving as evidenced by the history and event log, so the programs 'Then' statement should have been triggered. After waiting for some time to make sure it was in fact broken I then tried to run the 'If' statement manually but it failed to cause the 'Then' part to run. I then ran the 'Then' part manually and it worked. Some further details: - The fan was on because I could hear it and it was reported as on from the Administrator and the stat itself. - By the time we got back home the humidity was up to 45% and should not go above 40%. - I double checked the status of program ''Humidifier Fan Status' and it was 'True'. - There has been no communication issues for years now and I haven't added new electronics, the program was working fine this morning. I'm at a lose as to what may have gone wrong. Wayne If Status 'Venstar House / House - Fan' is On And ( Status 'Venstar House' > 39% (Humidity) Or Status 'Living Room / Living Rm KPL - Track Light / Humidity Control' is Off ) And Program 'Humidifier Fan Status' is True Then Set 'Venstar House' Query Wait 10 seconds Run Program 'Humidifier Fan Off Control' (If) Run Program 'Humidifier Fan Status' (Else Path) Set 'Furnace Room / Humidifier-Sensor / Humidifier-Relay' Off $State_HumidifierWHOverride = 0 Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Run Program Override (Else Path) - removed this line temporarily
Michel Kohanim
Hello Illusion, This is quite odd as 3.1.13 has gone through rigorous testing and seems to be quite stable. Can you tell me: 1. Whether or not you have the ELK module? 2. Do you use any mobile apps and, if so, which one? 3. What is your PLM's version? Hello Wayne, The fact that you have a Wait in there is a suspect. As you may know, Wait is interrupt-able. This means that while Waiting, if the condition turns to false then the program stops. The best way to test this program would be to temporarily add notifications before and after the Wait. With kind regards, Michel

This means that while Waiting, if the condition turns to false then the program stops. The best way to test this program would be to temporarily add notifications before and after the Wait. With kind regards, Michel I know what you're suggesting but in this case it would not have mattered, at least once the humidity rose above 40% and stopped fluctuating between 39 and 40%, it got to 44% before I arrived home. The fan status was always ON and the program 'Humidifier Fan Status' was always 'True' because I sat and watch everything while the humidity rose from 44 to 45% without triggering the program. This is the very first time anything like this has happened, it was not a communication error and it has triggered correctly so far since yesterday. Remember I attempted to trigger the 'If' statement manually and it didn't evaluate to 'True' even though all the individual statements were true. Michel Kohanim
Hi Wayne, The main thing is that the program evaluated to false for some reason. There could be two cases: 1. For some reason the event did not reach ISY ... check your error logs and make sure you do not have UDQFull errors (if you have them just prior to Start, that's OK .. only those that are not close to Start) 2. The program actually turned false because it was false I would start with 1. With kind regards, Michel
wwat
Hi Michel, re: UDQFull errors There was no such error in the error log, actually no errors since November. 2. The program actually turned false because it was false If it was false then it was incorrectly false because I know all the elements that made up the 'If' statement evaluated to 'True', I'm not sure were to go from here. It would be good if there was a detailed debug trail we could review for just these unexpected situations. Perhaps something to think about including in the betas, give us the ability to turn it on and off and save to disk, or email directly to you for further analysis. Regards, Wayne Here is a copy of the event log, I have coloured the event that should have triggered the program. gfridland
There appears to be more instability with the latest releases in my setup. I have a small number of programs that have become intermittent in operation. I have been running 3.1.13 for a while and it seems that the more complicated programs are either interrupted or do not trigger. I have not had any recent issues with programs not running when they are called upon and my communications have been solid. The issue seems to be with more complicated programs which contain Insteon and program commands. Simple scene programs are reliable. At this point I haven't been able to reproduce, but will keep looking at any patterns that may show up.
south
I too have been having trouble with programs running when they are not turned on or timed. It seem that in my case the Variable is not being read correctly. This morning I had over 1,000 e-mails from that program which should not have been running. Which caused my e-mail provider shutting down my account. Bob
FRR
Hi,Program failed to evaluate 'If' statement correctly. .... I then tried to run the 'If' statement manually but it failed to cause the 'Then' part to run. I then ran the 'Then' part manually and it worked. ... Wayne ... There still seems to be an issue when the "If Elk System is Connected" is evaluated. It is not evaluated correctly when a new program is created ... Regards, Frank Wayne, Michel, I have a similar issue and I wonder if the issues are related. When I create a new program to evaluate the ELK connection status, the new program always evaluates as false by "run if" even though the ELK connection status is indeed true. If I force the connection status to be false by changing the access code to an incorrect code or by disconnecting the ELK then set the access code back or reconnect the ELK, the program gets triggered and evaluates to true. The program then seems to run correctly, HOWEVER if I disable it, it STILL runs when the "if" condition become true. Frank
SetMonkey13
So I'm new to ISY but decided to jump right into 3.1.13 because I have a RemoteLinc2 (single paddle switch) that I wanted to add. The problem I have is that only the RemoteLinc2 is listed, but the scene that it runs is not. I had previously recorded the RemoteLinc2 to turn on two lamps. The RemoteLinc (model 2440) had no problem showing all the scenes that were programed. Is there and easy way to get the RemoteLinc2 to show its scenes in the isy? Thanks. LeeG
SetMonkey13 Is this an ISY Scene that was defined with the RemoteLinc2 added as a Controller or manual Set button links established before adding the RemoteLinc2 to the ISY as a device. If an ISY Scene it should be listed at the bottom of the My Lighting tree after the device definitions. If these were manual links perhaps they were eliminated when adding the RemoteLinc2 using the default (and preferred) "erase existing links" option. bocarob
I too have been having trouble with programs running when they are not turned on or timed. It seem that in my case the Variable is not being read correctly. Also I have var prob not being read but if i reboot cold boot the unit it seems to have cleared part of the prob but it seems to come back after a few hours I also check if elk is armed and not so i created a var to check the state and isy says not armed when in fact the system is armed. I also see problems in nested folders not running my programs like before the upgrade.I cannot believe that all my programs are not correct as most have been running well for well over a year... Also my notify are not being sent out in a timely fashion they seem to get bottled up and then sent in clumps or not at all..... thank you Robert

Lee They were manual Set button links before adding the RemoteLinc2 to the ISY. But the remote still works even after adding. Is it possible to remove it and then have it find the links again? Or would I be better to just erase it and set the scene with ISY
LeeG
Because the responder(s) still have the link records created by the Set button the RemoteLinc2 is able to control them although only part of the Scene (Group) protocol is functional. Except where needed for specific devices manual Set button links should not be done as the ISY is not aware of them. I suggest defining an ISY Scene, adding the RemoteLinc2 as a Controller with the other devices as Responders.

Slalom
Hi All Been lurking for a bit but this is my first post. Release 3.1.13 and the elk module seem to have an issue with common areas. If Area 2 (common to Area 1) is not armed and no other zones in Area 1 are violated. Then the Administrative console flashed the armed up state between ready to arm and not ready to arm at about a 1 second interval. If you arm Area 2 or violate any zone in Area 1 this behavior stops.
