2473SWH is unsupported?

Featured Replies

Hi gang,

I bought a bunch of the new dual band 2473SWH Outlet links. I'm using the most recent beta, but they are reported on discovery as being an unsupported device. They do seem to be recognized as lamps though, and they seem to be working fine. Should I worry about the unsupported status?

Cheers!

After the unsupported it will show numbers; 1.40 for example, which is the cat/subcat of the device.

What is the number of the unsupported OutletLinc?

edit: The 2473SWH is not a Dual Band device. Is it possible they are something else?

You are correct, the item # is 2472DWH. They are listed as unsupported device 1.33.

Cheers!

Scroll down the Device Type pulldown list and look for

[01.21] (2472D) Dual Band OutletLinc Dimmer

The list is not in absolute order but it should be in the 01.xx list.

The [01.21] is a hex number which is 1.33 in decimal which is what the unsupported message displays. If that is not in the list be sure Help | About is showing 3.1.13 for the UI level.

The instructions that you provide apply at the time of adding a new device?

Cheers

You can select Link Management | New INSTEON Device and click on the Device Type pulldown. Scroll through the list of [01.xx] entries. Should find an [01.21] entry. The Cancel button on the New INSTEON Device popup can be used to cancel without actually adding a device. Just a means of verifying there is an entry there. I have that entry on my 3.1.13.

Nope. I am on 3.1.13 and I don't have that entry :(

And what is worse, now that I am on 3.1.13, I can't add any new devices of this type. Under the last official release, they were discovered promptly and added as unsupported devices, now the ISY does not see these devices during the setup process.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

What does Help | About show for Firmware and UI?

Thanks.

Not sure what the UI is, but the About box show Insteon_UD99 v3.1.13

Product is ISY 99i/IR PRO (1050)

Cheers!

There should be a line immediately below the Firmware line that contains the UI (Admin Console) level. If that line is not there either the Java cache was not cleared or the URL to access the 3.1.13 Admin Console is not being used.

I had been closing my browser, resetting Java, etc, but I had not used the new URL. I downloaded the new Applet, and now I seem to be in business.

Thanks!
