elvisimprsntr Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Is Brultech still in business? I tried to order a 1240 two weeks ago and I have not heard a peep out of them even after numerous requests.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Hello elvisimprsntr, I just exchanged an email with Paul a week ago and he was in China working on their new line of products. As such, I do not think they are out of business. But, above and beyond that, I do not know much else. If you have the Check-It monitoring module, you can order Brultech meters from them at lower prices (I think). With kind regards, Michel
gatchel Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I also tried to contact them to get some information about their products. I have not heard back yet and it's been a few days. I'm glad to hear it's just travel. It would be better if they had some sort of auto responder to give people a clue as to what's going on.
gatchel Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Well... I never heard back from my previous post. Then finally I decided to send another email on the 18th to the sales email and a day later I got a reply. I had a few questions replied back and still no feedback to my original questions. 3 days later still nothing. Talk about horrible pre-sales support. Brultech could certainly use a lesson in pre and (I'm sure post ) sales tech support from Universal Devices. I've gone from wanting to spend money with them because they had a product the seemed like it might work to not wanting to spend a dime. It's a shame.
nlaredo Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 For what it's worth I went with a ted5000 instead on an isolated circuit (doing its communications over the leg to my dishwasher and not with the rest of my house). Originally the ted5000 worked fine when I only had 2-3 insteon devices, but once I went to a whole house full, it just overwhelmed the ted5000 and I was going to go with Brultech but eventually gave up for the same reason and went with an x10 blocker on a leg.
