suttonnc Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I have a customer who is using the ISY 99i in a empty house while they are out of town. They want to be able to hook up directly to their mac when in town to make changes. I do not own a mac, and have not been able to find an answer.... Is this possible and what kind of cable would you use?? Serial to usb?? Thanks-
Michel Kohanim Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Hello suttonnc, The want to connect directly with a wire (and not through their Local Area Network)? If they already have a network at home (which seems so since ISY is currently on it) and if their MAC is on the same network, then all they need to do is to go to: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i//admin.jnlp ... this will install an icon on their desktop to use. So, for instance, if ISY's firmware is 3.1.15, they would go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.15/admin.jnlp . With kind regards, Michel
