I'm new to this so forgive me if my question sounds too simple. I've installed a Venstar 2491T7E Thermostat and have my ISY-99i connected to a PowerLinc Modem 2413S-QS. I've gone into the UD Administrative Console pushed "Start Linking" and have then pushed the set button on the Venstar Thermostat. The ISY-99i finds the thermostat, but states at the top of the page for the thermostat "14.68.23 - Unsupported Device:5.14". It shows "current state" temperature, "setpoint temperature" and offers the option to change "thermostat Mode" and "Setpoint up 1 degree" and "Setpoint down 1 degree". When I press one of the options to change the settings, it changes on my computer, but when I go the the thermostat, nothing has changed.

 

Can anybody help me as to what I'm doing wrong?

That specific device type was added to one of the later 3.1.x betas. The latest beta is 3.1.16.

Check the Help Tab About Choice to read your firmware version.

I am thinking 2.8.16 as it was the last official release.

Yes - my firmware version is 2.8.16. I'll try updating it to the newer Beta 3.1.16 and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks - I would have never thought of checking this! js

I had a similar issue, and the upgrading to beta firmware version solved it.
