LeeG Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 "the fundamental question though is when the PLM receives an Insteon Message does the PLM process it or simply pass it to the ISY." The PLM processes the inbound message first. Insuring the link database has the required link record as needed, checking the CRC character of the message, sending an ACK which the PLM is responsible for, then passing the message to the application (ISY) as needed.
Illusion Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Probably not the right thread for this, but since we are straying... What happens if I make 256 scenes in the ISY? Do I need to be counting my scenes? Is there a count scenes function? The specs on the ISY pro says max 1024 devices/scenes. What does this mean?
LeeG Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I would assume the UI displays an error if the Scene count is exceeded. Insteon messages and link records carry Group (Scene) number in a one byte field.
