Hi jcanter,

I'm guessing there is something else happening. Turning internet access off then back on will only configure a UPnP router for port forwarding settings. If your device and the ISY are on the same network, then the router's port forward configuration isn't in effect unless you are using the router's IP address for the HTTP field in MobiLinc.

Please verify this:

- Under My Settings->Lighting Controller Settings verify that the local (HTTP) IP address/port matches your ISY's actual IP address and port settings.

- Which ISY firmware are you using? the latest official version is 3.1.17.

Once the IP address settings are verified and you tap Sync in MobiLinc, what happens? does it work?

Keep in mind that if you are away from your home or if you turn your device on and immediately attempt launch MobiLinc before your device has logged into your Wi-Fi router, unless if you have port forward settings configured properly in your router, MobiLinc will still be external to your network and won't be able to reach your ISY until successfully logged into your Wi-Fi local network.

If you continue to have problems, the next step would be to email me your MobiLinc and ISY's IP/port address and port information. I can help identify if there might be a setup problem by looking at your settings.

Thanks Wes, I never connect to my home wifi cause 4g is faster and i am unlimited. since i bought moblinc cause conductor failed with ics it's been set up and working till recently. I don't think it's moblinc cause if it dosn't connect i go into admin console and disable internet access then enable it again and open moblinc and it connects. right now i am on version 3.2.3 and have switch versions down to 3.1.17 still after a day it does it again.

Hi jcanter,

It sounds to me like either the ISY is getting a new IP address due to a powercycle event or the router is closing the internet access tunnel after 24 hours. If it's consistantly happening after a day then I'd look at the router.

What I'd recommend that you do is look at entering port forwarding rules into the router that are more or less permanent that don't rely on the ISY setting up the tunnel through the router by using the enable internet access method.

Since every router is different for port forwarding we have a high-level guide over on our forms here to help talk through the process at a high level: http://forum.mobileintegratedsolutions.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=123

Hi Jay,

That sounds like you have a solid setup and should be working for you for remote access. I'd like to confirm all the moving parts to port forwarding. Can you send me the following for verification:

In your router:

- IP Address of your router

- IP Address traffic is routed to to your ISY

- External and Internal ports traffic is routed on to your ISY

In MobiLinc:

- Local IP Address (http)

- Local Port

- Secure IP Address (https)

- Secure Port

- Connect Method

Please note, do NOT send your username or password information.

You can send the IP address info to my email: wes@mobileintegratedsolutions.com

I think the clue is still in the action you take to enable internet access with the ISY to get remote access to work. Which leads me to think that there is a router configuration issue. When MobiLinc is unable to connect can you remotely connect using Admin Console or are you unable to connect using Admin Console as well remotely until you do the Enable Internet Access through the ISY?
