YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Since I update my ISY99I to version 3.2.6 I lost the connection between my ELK M1 and the ISY99I. I did validate the IP address and they are good in the same subnet. Is some one have an idea of the problem? Thanks Yvan
sanders2222 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I upgraded my ISY with no change in communications to ELK or other problems. It has to be something else that is your issue. What connection was lost? Does the RP still work and its the connection from the ISY to the ELK that no longer exists?
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Yes the RP program is still able to connect to the ELK system. I reload the lighting information, update the ELK to version 5.24 and XEP to 1.38 and I still have the same issue. Thanks
sanders2222 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 So your Config/Elk/Config settings were unchanged? That M1XEP screen should be enabled and show your IP address (internal), port 2101 plus the access code. From what I remember, you also have to enable port 2101 in the RP M1EXP setup for this to work.
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Yes the M1XEP is set properly, IP, user access code, port set to 2101. I can get in my m1XEp by using my keypad application on my Iphone, I can control the ISY.s devices with my remote application on my Iphone also. But the ELK does connect to the ISY , Everything was working fine before the update. Thanks
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Sorry the last phrase is wong, MY ELK system doesn`t communicatte with my ISY, but it was working fine before the update.
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 If I put a wrong access code in my ISY for the ELK system I can see the message saying `Not connected to the ELK Security SystemÉ If I put bck the the rigth access code it goes away but the Refresh topology button never come activated. From the ELK I can`t control my lighthing . HUM... Quick question where in the ELK system I should put the IP address of the ISY? I don`t see it in the XML import file.
Michel Kohanim Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Hi YvanBoutin, You do not have to put the IP address of ISY in ELK. Please do ensure that you have the latest firmware for M1XEP and M1: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... quirements With kind regards, Michel
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Yes I do have the latest version M1 module version 5.24 m1XEP 1.3.28 Thanks
YvanBoutin Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 In the ISY documentation it is required th set the user access code. Prior the update the user code was empty and their is many access code define ( RPaccesscode, M1XEP user and the Security system user code) http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... quirements The only way the I can get the message not connected to the ELK system is by putting the access code of the user define in the M1XEP setup, if I put the access code of a user define in the security system (Left Tab) I don't get the connection. Is their a way to get back to the old version where everything was working?
Michel Kohanim Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Hi YvanBoutin, Here's an excerpt form our discussion with ELK: It appears that you have used your RP Access Code (242424) as the ELK User Code in the ISY. That is the reason it doesn’t work. You need to change the ELK Code in the ISY to one of your User Codes that you would use to the Arm/Disarm the system from the ELK Keypad (for example the ELK default user code is 3456). Unfortunately, the only way to go back is to downgrade your firmware. I think we can solve this issue. With kind regards, Michel
YvanBoutin Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 No I was not using the RP access code. Finally I was able to make it working by move the version 5.24 to 5.28. rigth after the reboot everything was working without change in boot system configuration. it appear that version 5.24 doesn't work well, at lest in my case. Thanks Yvan
