PBS987 Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 I lost communication with about half of my insteon devices after updating from v2.7.15 to v3.1.17. I have tried the backup file of V2.7.15 and the devices still will not work with the isy99i. I have deleted the devices, programs, and scenes for all devices not responding to the isy. When I try to add the old devices I get Failed setting engine version, Failed writing the highwater mark, and Failed removing links. Please let me know what I can do to get everything working again. LeeG Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 Something on the powerline has changed. An Access Point may have been moved, unplugged, or failed if all the failing devices are on the opposite 120V leg to the ISY PLM. Run the 4 tap Set button test on the Dual Band devices that are coupling the 120v legs to be sure they remain on opposite 120v legs and are in RF range of each other. Cordless phones and baby monitors can also interfere with RF communication used for coupling. Note that the ISY was upgraded to an older official release. 3.2.6 is the latest official release.
