A function like time_cron from linux

I haven't seen the ability to be more flexible with dates and time, and reading the release notes I see wildcard dates were removed back in the 2.8.10.

 

 

time_cron "00 04 * 7,8 4") #Thursday Saturday in July and August

 

with a few enhancements like every third day.

 

I came across the very elaborate set of programs to simulate this in the wiki.

 

On a related note, I would like to have a tool that could give me a calendar I could choose that would have like school days etc to have different programs run if it's a school day.

Program/variable enhancements are tentatively planned for the next release cycle.

 

I am not so sure of the calendar program though. You can create a calendar program like those here:
