Hello All,

Here's the latest ELK Configuration information:

This needs to be updated a little.

1.) The latest ELK-M1G Firmware version is 5.1.20. If you have a GE manufactured wireless receiver (Caddx NX) connected to the ELK-M1G then use firmware version 4.5.20.

2.) The ELK-M1G Bootware version is 3.3.2 and is required to be loaded before the firmware is upgraded.

3.) The ELK-M1XEP Ethernet Module firmware version is 1.2.14 and Bootware version 1.1.4.

4.) The Serial Expander Interface Module (ELK-M1XSP) is not required.

The Universal Devices ISY will be handling all the Insteon communications received from the ELK and send Insteon device state changes to the ELK.

With kind regards,

Michel

SysIntegrated,

Not true ... ELK shows the correct status (what ISY thinks the status should be) regardless of where the change took place.

With kind regards,

Michel

The Elk still only reflects status changes initiated from itself, right? Is there still no way to have the Elk reflect accurate device status?

Hm. I searched through the boards here and didn't find any help. Did I miss a thread?

I am running an M1Gold with an M1EXP and a TS07 Touch Panel along with an ISY-26 v2.6.2. All devices have the most current firmware. My TS07 does not show proper device status. I exported the device list from ISY and imported it into the Elk. Am I missing something?

Hi SysIntegrated,

Can you arm/disarm your ELK from within ISY?

Also, the Option flag should be set for all the devices imported into ELK.

With kind regards,

Michel

Yes, I can arm and disarm.

Yes, I have option set on all devices.

All of my lights are in scenes with other switches, remotes, and IR codes. I display and control only the scenes on the ELK controller so that all of my Insteon virtual 3 way circuits reflect proper status. Do I need to only be controlling indivdual switches?

SysIntegrated,

No, not at all. You are doing the right thing. I think the issue here is that you wish to know the status of a scene which is something we do not [yet] support.

Michel

ah yes. That makes sense. So I need to control only lighting loads. Alright, I suppose I can display only loads on the TS07, but have eiher Elk or ISY run a program to turn on the proper scene if certain loads are turned on or off. Is that too much overhead>

Thanks for your help.

SysIntegrated,

The main issue is that ISY does not [yet] know what status of a scene means. We've had numerous discussions on this topic and we will eventually support some status for a scene but -and specifically for INSTEON - it will be a function of one of the controllers since you cannot turn on a scene to a level; you can only turn on or off/dim/brighten a scene.

Michel
