ISY994

I'm setting up my new Water Leak Sensors(2852-222). I have an ISY994i. I'm able to add the devices using the Set button. I then press the set button to get it out of set mode. If I do the test(press set button), the Wet/Dry status is triggered. But when I put sensor on a wet napkin, it does not trigger the sensor. Did I miss a configuration step? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Have a posting on Smarthome as well. Wondering if anyone has seen this before.

I had a dyndns host name and address, and even had a dyn updater from the dyndns folks which worked most awesome for a while; but at some point, it stopped updating and my host was gone; and I hadn't really cared because I so rarely access my ISY from far away. But, of course, I began to care lately with the holidays (being out of town and having people house sit). I reviewed my notes and feel the only new things about my set up are 1) addition of a second Mobilinc app on my wife's new iTouch; and 2) the introduction of an ethernet switch between the router and Isy99 so that I can send info to the TV and TIVO box. My controller for humidification and dehumidification VICONIC (VH7200 Humidity Controller) is dead. Do you have any suggestions with which device compatible with ISY that he could be replaced?

can not find isy 994i on my network any more after update . factory reset not work. power light stays on

I'd like to be able to monitor the watts used, even just a whole house number, although splitting to each circuit would be nice. Is there anything that allows this to be an option? Thanks,

Hi, I'm just getting started.... have read the Wiki's.... tried all I know (not much) but could not find my answer. I have an open concept main floor with the kitchen Island and main living area adjacent each other, I have a single dimmer on the Kitchen Island Lights, and a single dimmer and button "B" on a 8 button keypad for the living area lights. What I am trying to accomplish is... if the kitchen lights are on - and someone turns on the living room lights they only go on to 50 %.... I am using the program below and it seems to work fine. I am new to the ISY world. I am trying to turn a light on at a given time and then turn it off again 2 hours latter. Here is my coding: If From Sunset + 45 minutes For 2 hours Then set 'Family room lights' 55% set 'Kitchen lights' 55% Else no actions Then lights come on, but have to be manualy turned off. I'm fairly new at this but so far all of my programs have been working as I expected and I've found the ISY programming model to be very easy to understand and use. So, here is my first failure: I'm using a KPL button to "arm" an alarm, i.e. basically just switching a variable from 0 to 1 to indicate "Armed". Here it is: If Control 'Keypads / KPL2-Arm Alarm' is switched On Then $AlarmArmed = 1 Else $AlarmArmed = 0 Since I used Control vs Status I assumed that anytime the KPL button is "On" then the variable $AlarmArmed would be 1, and vice versa. Hello Everyone, I have a KPL8 where the main contols a wall plug with a lamp attached. I have also linked this to a Lamplinc that controls another room light. This is called the "Family Room" scene. On the H button of the KPL8 I run a program - called "Night" that sets several items including a scene that sets a reduced level on the Main and on the Lamplinc. The curious part is this. If I run the "Night" program On and then Off, the next time I run the "Family Room" scene - from the main button - the lamplinc goes to 100% but the wallplug - controlled directly by the main - only goes to the reduced setting. Hello, I just automatically updated my ISY. A window came up and told me to restart my browser. So I quit everything and restarted everything. Now, when the ISY interface loads...it's pretty much blank. All it shows under menu options is FILE. I emptied the Java cache. Did something go wrong or am I only halfway done? Thanks

I have an ISY 99 with various insteon switches and outlets. I've gotten simple programs to work, but am not having much luck with more ambitious projects. There are two basic things I'd like to do: 1. Include multiple options depending on different conditions. I don't know if this is possible, or if you need to write a seperate program for each option, but here is what I'd like to do: I have an evening program that evaluates conditions, and then turns lights on. I have a Toggle Linc setup in my garage to turn on two lights on the outside of my house at a certain time. Hey guys, I have a few questions about setting up a 3 way switch. I still have to figure out the wiring in the house but was wondering about how things would work in the end.. If I want to have the light "dimmable", do both controlling switches have to be dimmers or just the controlling one on the load? And if I can mix and match, will the dimmer status show correctly on a linked on/off switchlinc? Thanks!

Three questions: I'd like to run an existing scene at a level dimmer than called for in the scene. (1) Is that possible? (Set Scene doesn't offer a % level at which to set the scene.) (2) If not possible, is there an easier way to do this other than just making another scene with different on levels? I tried setting the scene to level "Brighten" and repeated that 5 times, but that seems to overwhelm the ISY - sometimes it takes a very long time to come up. I went into the admin console today of my ISY-99i and it said there was a new version of the software available. 3.3.x I think. I was running 3.2.6 so I said automatically upgrade it. I said yes to the backup but the backup failed. I think if flagged something almost at the end of the backup process that said something like can't write 45.COND maybe? Anyway the system upgrade process didn't stop when the backup failed. And then the upgrade failed. I could no longer connect to it through the browser. So I went to check the device and all the lights were out. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now the Rx and Tx lights are on solid and the red Error light is blin…

I want to turn my Garage Light off 15 mins after anyone turns it on from the SwitchLinc (easy), but if the Light is turned on not by the switch, but rather by a program controlling a Scene that includes that device (i.e. "Welcome Home Lights" that goes on at 6PM every day), I don't want the Garage Light to go off after 15 mins. Howdy: So from what I can see the LED brightness setting is somewhat of a mystery. I sought to program something to soften the brightness of these LEDs at night, and bring them back up to full brightness in the morning. Simple enough, but several (new) switches don't seem to want to respond. What I find particularly curious is that the program seems to "know" the difference between those switches that use a % (1-100) and those who use this oddball 15/7 scale for on/off, HOWEVER, when trying to set the brightness on my 2487S v.41 (KPL Relay) the programming suggests it's a value of 1-100; but if I click "LED Brightness" in the interface, I get the "on / off" s…

I recently added some 2852-222 Leak sensors to my system (ISY 99i pro). No problem they work fine but I do have a rather annoying problem with test notification. I want to receive just one notification. I always get two and then a third when the sensors resets from wet back to its normal set of dry. Below is the program I use. Greetings My attempt to migrate from 99i to 994i hasn't gone entirely smoothly and I wondered if the strange things I've seen are normal or not. I'd like to know how the migration should be done. I want to create programs to set LED levels for day and night and have a mixture of KeypadLincs, Relays, and Dimmers from a few Firmware levels. Would someone post a simple example of how they handle this. MY simple asssumption is that it is just programs with a long list of set commands for each device triggered at sunrise and sunset but wanted to see what others with more knowledge had already accomplished.
