I made a scene called "Away" that could be activated by a keypad button near the exit doorway to our home. Whenever the scene is activated from that keypad button, it will send pre-set temperature ranges to all the thermostats in the house (4 of them) to save energy. When the scene is activated, it is incorrectly sending random temperatures to the thermostats. Any ideas why this is happening? Should I be trying to do this some other way (like using programs or even variables?) Thanks

A new user here. I have need to enter the same 24 program names (program itself is always very similar but not identical) to about 30 folders. The "Copy Folder" works great but appends the characters " copy" to the resultant folder and program names. Is there a way to not have those characters added to the names (especially the program names) or an easy way to globally edit them out (a find/replace for folder and program names?)? I am wondering if anyone has a good/easy way to use the extra garage door opener buttons in my truck to control scenes. I already have an IOLinc attached to the garage door, however I do not always park inside and I would like to use my spare buttons to turn or the spot lights and arm/disarm an alarm without opening the garage door. I already considered purchasing an old broken door opener coupled to another IOLinc, but I am thinking that there has got to be a better way. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Version 3.3.5. Was on 3.3.4. Can't get the Admin Console to come up. The Java would try to up but after 10 minutes of turning, it finally comes out with an error where the Java logo is. Tried on different computers but same result. So, it's not the computer configuration. Perhaps it's the Java version (version 7) with the latest Firefox version (also version 7.0x). Everything else works on eKeyPad or MobiLinc. Rebooted the ISY multiple times, no help. Tried on IE and Firefox...Java keeps turning. Removed and reload Java (Java Development Toolkit 7.0.90.5 10.9.2.5) (Java Platform SE 7 U9 10.9.2.5). Please help!!!! I can't program anything. …

I am trying to back-up system but it stops at the same point and I get the same message: Could Not Retrieve File CONF/NET/1.RES I recently added the Onkyo network codes into network resources. Not sure if related. Also resently been having issues with some lights not responding consistently and keypads blinking and not working, then working. Again, not sure if it's related or not... I just added a second Kepadlinc and what was working reliably before isn't so much anymore. =) What I'm trying to get on both of them is an "all off" scene, but part of that is that I need to detect when it's triggered so I can kick off my program which also turns off various X10 devices (and also does some other stuff I want done as I'm headed to bed, like turn on the hall light low for 30 seconds, then off). Is there a way to show the Network Information the ISY is using? I know the IP Address because I can connect to it via the Admin Console and ssh. But I need to know the other things such as netmask, domain name, nameserver addresses, gateway address, etc that was provided by DHCP. I recently upgraded from V 3.2.6 to 3.3.5 and had some network resources that use the simple name to access them instead of the FQDN. I have a couple Lamplincs that I bring out during the holidays for various lights. They are 2457D2 type. One of the two keeps shutting off after a while. I am not really sure what is triggering it, I have just been turning it back on when I see it is off. I have done a restore on it a couple times. It is in three scenes and is turned on/off either manually at a Keypadlinc or by a program that just runs from sunset (on) to 11:59pm (off). How can I tell what is shutting it off? New installation, new user. I have a lamp plugged into an OutletLinc Dimmer. I tried several times to change the ramp rate in the ISY. It would change, and the ISY would say it was updating the outlet. But the ramp rate wouldn't change. Would always come on immediately. Next night I tried again. Same problem. I just couldn't change the ramp rate to the outlet. Next night, I added another device (Open/Close Sensor) and then added a scene in which the sensor was the controller and the outlet was the responder. What am I missing? If schedules in programs only run when the Admin Console is on, how does ISY make those schedules happen if the computer is OFF??

I've setup my ISY99i/IR PRO by importing the default IR codes. I've setup my Harmony 1100 by adding a UDI device ISY99i/IR PRO. I've created a program that turns on a light when the 1st IR button on the Harmony device is pressed. I get no response and I see no activity under Event Viewer. When I use ISY99i/IR PRO to setup the Harmony device, the buttons are 'Light1', Light2', etc. When I use ISY99i/IR to setup the Harmony device, the buttons are 'IR001', 'IR002', etc. Neither setup worked. I know my IR works since I use a Remotelinc 2. I know the Harmony works since I can control other devices. What's wrong with my setup? Thanks for the help!

Good moring everyone. As always, I am starting a new project before finishing all of the rest. On work days, every morning, I wake up, turn on the radio, open the garage door, remote start my truck located in an unattached garage, shower, remote start my truck again, get dressed, and finally leave for work. It takes about a half an hour. I now have created a KPL button to handle turning on the radio and opening the garage door, however to take it to the next level, I would like the system to remotely start the truck also. I'm trying to send a REST On or Off command to the "A" button on my KeypadLinc 6 button switch, and it doesn't appear to be working. My command is formed this way with the address of the button: http://192.168.xx.xx/rest/nodes/19 23 4F 3/cmd/DON However, if I send a command with the scene address that is linked to that button it will work. My question is is there a way to send On and Off commands to the "A","B","C","D" buttons using their button address and not their scene address? Thanks for any help.

when I try to access isy---I am taken to a browser page trying to open "admin.jnlp" when I click on open--nothing happens--the program is showing that is associated with explorer---kids were messing with computer playing minecraft??? I deleted the game , uninstalled java and reinstalled ver7 64 bit---like computer doesn't know how to open .jnlp file??? any ideas ???

What happens when the grass goes dormant if using the irrigation module to water your grass via an EZFlora? I don't think the grass needs water when it goes dormant. Does the irrigation module continue to water the grass thus wasting water? Thanks!

I have a keypadlinc with a sub-button that is currently set up to turn on a dinner scene which turns off most house lights and only turns on three lights in the kitchen area. I would like to set it up so it toggles the scene, but it wouldn't be a true toggle. That is, it would only turn off the three kitchen lights when you turn the scene off and not affect the rest of the house lights (which it turned off earlier when activated). I have tried several attempts at adding a program to handle this but haven't been able to figure out a way to do what I want. Here's an idea I hope you guys can help me figure out how to implement. I want my ISY to be aware of when I have incoming calls to my cell phone. I'd like to do this without Jailbreaking (otherwise I would use Notify Pro so that I can have it work for my housemates' unjailbroken phones. I figure the way to do this would be to have some sort of device that has bluetooth capability centrally located in the house (might need more than one if the range is too great), that can do something (like make a REST call to the ISY) when it detects an incoming call. I've been working on making a little lightweight web interface for quick control of lights in my house to replace the atrocious one served up by the ISY. When I got to the step where I needed to test the AJAX calls to the REST API, I had to put my files on the ISY itself to play nicely with the Same Origin Policy. When I did, my jaw hit the floor when I got the error saying that most of my files couldn't be uploaded because they don't observe the 8.3 filename restriction. I've looked around but can't find a way to change the location of where the log files and backup files are stored on my Mac. I don't want them in the top level Documents folder. I'd like to put them in a subfolder under Documents. Is there a way to do that?
