Can someone please help me out on this? Ok, So I have correctly wired the I1 and I2 contacts and have them working correctly, but I would like some clarification on how to wire the other two contacts to the I3/AN1 and I4/AN2. Thanks in advance! Ed

A keypad that was installed about 12 mo ago and working without a problem has developed phantom signals. For example when I turn on a table lamp on button C a ceiling light on bottom A will briefly turn on/off. I have performed a restore which will only correct the problem temporarily. Any suggestions? ISY 99. V 3.3.4.

The ISY994i product page on the UDI site describes it as extending the capabilities of ISY99i. Are there any Zigbee products currently supported by the controller? The Insteon lock exist, but I'm looking for a lock which reports back actual lock status. I assume there are some Zigbee based locks which would be supported by the new controller. Is this the case?

I have an 8 key keypadlinc that was working well earlier and I was changing some names of buttons, etc. Now it won't work. Here is what I mean: 1) ISY can query the load button and gets it right. 2) I can change the buttons from toggle to non-toggle. 3) I can control the led backlights. 4) When I press the button (with "Non-Toggle ON" setting), the readout in ISY still says "OFF". I've tried factory resetting and then "restore". I tried removing it completely from ISY, then factory reset, then reassociating it and then starting all over and it still doesnt work. any suggestions?

Hi, I am looking into automating the thermostat and was wondering if the new Venstar Skyport Wifi adapter for the T5800 would be controllable with the ISY... I have not seen any information about an available API or any other application than the mobile one. Anyone knows or have controlled this model using network resources, or is there any plan to support the device has a thermostat in ISY? I need a thermostat that can control humidity(HRV)/dehumidifier so my list is quite limited... Any input is welcome!!

I just upgraded to v3.2.6 and have two problems. First I cannot open My Lighting through my DNS. I get the following error: security library failure. (Error code: sec_error_library_failure) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. I can open any other port through my dns and I can open the port inside my LAN by going directly to the address. Second, although the 99i can operate all of my devices from the My Lighting screen, it has lost contact with my M1Gold. I was wondering if it is at all possible to accomplish a scene in my ISY99i, that when I push the play button on my movie in XBMC will the lights dim and also when I pause the lights come back on? Mind you I'm using an iPad with HippoRemote and I'm not trying to go back and forth between HippoRemote and Mobilinc.

I have never been able to get the clock to synchronize. The time is always off and if I hit the Synchronize Now button, I get an error window. What am I doing wrong?

Good Morning all! So I just installed my first KPL, and everything went pretty well. I programmed my first button to control my gas fireplace by having the "g" button control my insteon quietlinc outlet that powers the fireplace. The problem I have is that if I turn on my fireplace using my mobilinc app on my ipad/iphone it won't light up the "g" button on my KPL. Knowing that I use my mobilinc app quite frequently and that I plan to program similar devices/scenes I just want to have this "know how" prior to adding other devices. I am having trouble installing the new Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222. I just upgraded to V3.2.6 on a ISY 99. After depressing the set button and activating the blinking LED on the leak sensor, I have tried to install a new device on the ISY. I keep getting the following error message. Hello, I am sorry if this question has been asked in the past. I have not found an answer, so I thought I'd post for all to see. I would like to setup a timer for my bathroom fan, to turn the fan off, after the light has been off for 10 minutes. I understand I can use light turning off as a trigger, and then wait 10 minutes and turn fan off. However, this leads to problems when multiple people are coming and going. In other words, if I turn the light off, this is the trigger, and the timer starts counting down. If someone comes in to the bathroom 7 minutes later, the fan will then turn off in 3 minutes. I would like to avoid this, as I want to…

I want my downstairs lights to be on in the evening. Then late at night downstairs lights will shut off, unless there is motion. Then stay on for 15min after the motion stops. Any suggestions? I can currently have them turn on/off based on time. OR I can also get them to turn on/off based on motion. I cannot get them to work at the same time.

Recently purchased two 2457D2 R1.9 Lamplincs but have not been able to install in the ISY99. I tried unsuccessfully to install them on an earlier version, then upgraded to 3.2.6. Discovered that this device does not exist in the device list, and the ISY will not auto discover. Tried the similar device numbers including B2457D2 and 2457D2X. Eventually ot the ISY to accept but the Lamplinc would not switch on and off, even though the ISY reported status as on. Searched the Wiki and the Forum for assistance but was not able to figure it out. Not sure what to try next. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know of any good solutions to have the isy send an iOS notification? I have it sending SMS but I would really rather it through the notification center. I have mobilinc, but I have not seen any similar features in it. I have a linux server up 24x7 so i can have it relay events from programs via the networking module. I am currently looking into growl, which may work. Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts.

I have created 3 scenes, and I would like to add each to the A, B and C buttons on 3 different keypads. 1. How do I add a button from a keypad to the scene so that it is a controller? 2. Do I then have to write to the keypad so that it is updated (and would work if the ISY went down) or is this done automatically 3. Can I add the A button's from each of the 3 keypads to the same scene? Would one be the controller and the others be responders? Would the LED on the buttons stay in sink? 4. I have notifications that have been working fine for a long time. I added a new one and it wont work. I even put it in the same program as one that works but no luck. I updated the mesage on the old one but it still sends the old maessage. The are using the same To. Any ideas. I have the latest firmware and UI 3.3.3.

I've posted this to the Mobilinc forum but I think it could be more of a general programming question. I currently have 2 programs in ISY, the first to turn off a fan and the second to turn it on. Actually there is a third program that makes it easy to toggle between the two. There is a reason I can't turn the fan on directly, I have some program logic which under certain circumstances wont allow the fan to be turned off or on. So the programs have that logic to determine whether the fan can be turned off or on which ever the case may be. I've just really starting to learn all the nitty gritty things about the ISY and my Insteon 994. I've got a 994i and number Insteon Switchlincs, Motion Sensors, and TriggerLincs installed in our home. One of the things I've been really hoping to get up and running is a doorbell / lights flash setup. Here's the workflow: Someone comes to our front door while we are downstairs in the basement. They ring the doorbell, but, being in the basement, we can't hear it. Very strange behaviour for a simple program. When the front door is opened I want to turn on the light at the entrance (program #1 attached). The problem is that the program only works every other time that I open the door. I have checked the Elk tab and it shows the sensor is showing violated each time, and I get a communication error (error attached). I do have the event log but can't seem to attach it. Also, I have a similar program that looks at violation and being dark outside, and it works every time its supposed to (program #2 attached). Suggestions?

I have a Dakota WR3000 receiver hooked up to EZ1061 controlled with ISY99i. I have had to relocate the Dakota receiver into the garage in order to get the Dakota motions outside to work consistently with the receiver. Problem is now, I cannot hear the chime from the Dakota receiver in my home very well. Can I install this Smarthome item # 50810 - I/O Linc - INSTEON Remote Chime Alert Kit inside my home, link it to the ISY99i and then have the Dakota Receiver (when it chimes) trigger this new Insteon Chime installed inside the house? I really don't understand how ISY programs run, and I have a problem with the execution of a gutter heating program. The program executes when the folder flag is set to "1". The program simply checks whether a temperature alarm is "on", and if so, turns the heating cable on. My problem is that my ISY program doesn't see that the temperature alarm is "on" if the temperature alarm occurs before the program starts running (i.e. before the folder flag is set to "1"). All subsequent alarm status changes are read successfully What kind of statement should I use to force the ISY program to read the temperature alarm status when program first starts running ? I'm a Unix guy that uses cron extensively to do whatever I need done automatically. I also like to take backups of my systems regularly since I tend to tinker and often screw things up. I back up my ISY to a dropbox account fairly regularly, but I often forget. Is there a way to automatically have the ISY do backups? Maybe something like cron or Windows scheduler, or a way to send the ISY a command to do the backup? I'd prefer a true scheduler on the ISY, but I could always have one of my Unix boxes send a string to the ISY from their cron job telling it to do the backup at a specified time if that ability existed. I didn't see that in REST, and don't know enough…

Our previous thermostat adapter was replaced with a new one. But now we can't remove the Thermostat from the device list to replace it with the new one. I guess in order to remove a device it still has to be present? Which doesn't make much sense if the device is dead and can never be connected again. The thermostat entry has a red ! in front and can neither be moved or removed or anything for that matter. How can we remove the old thermostat from the list in the ISY-99i/IR PRO admin console and replace it with the new one? Also, will all the programs associated with the thermostat be deleted if we delete the thermostat? Thank you.
