Hi Everyone, Just got my isy99i and I am loving it. However, I came across an odd situation. I have a 6 KPL and I have built scenes for each of the four buttons that contol the load and two other devices in a room. Only one of the buttons should be on at a time so I built these scenes so that the kpl buttons not active have an on level of 0. I got the kpl working perfectly. Then I added my Remotelinc as another controller in the scene. It does turn on the correct keypad, but all the four keypads are lit. For some reason it seems that the other keypads in the scene do not act as responders to the Remotelinc as they do for the keypads. This is a more than a year…

What causes the temp for my wireless Insteon thermostat to go blank on the ISY periodically? The humidity doesn't have this issue...it doesn't go blank like the temp. Any ideas on how to fix this from happening so much? Thanks!

Hi, two Qs: 1) is it possible for us to update the firmware? (i am sure it is, 'no', but i figure it couldnt hurt to ask...) 2) is v.93 supposed to work with respond to synchronize clock command? TIA

I have followed the Thermostat threads for over a year now in anticipation of purchasing one. Over the year there has been many ups and downs as manufactures and versions seem to come out monthly. Now it seems that the thread activity has slowed down, so I'm wondering which manufacture and version is currently the best fit for ISY. Any feedback would be appreciated. Wayne

Get this error when I try to log into admin console...java related?????

Is there a secrate to getting this to install? When I click to Install I get the gollowing.. - an Orical Java installer pops up - when it gets clise to the end I get an error that says "unable to install shortcut" - then I get snother error in an sys style box that says not found. - then it opens up an sys finder thing where i can enter the url for my sys asmin console and click it - when I click it.. It runs The instaler leaves s .jnls file on my computer... If I click it I get the not found message and the isy finder pops up with my url listed that I had enterd before. So I lost power for about 2 weeks, I was running on generator power for a while. I have had some communication issues & I was hoping to get them figured out. I have two keypads, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs. They were linked, the upstairs has no load, the downstairs has the load. Previously when I pressed on or off for either they would be in sync. Now the downstairs one doesnt respond to the upstairs one. I tried to right click in the ISY admin & restore devices, but it doesnt seem to respond, its like the typical system busy bar doesnt really move quickly. I also see a few devices that are waiting to have writes sent to it, but it doesnt seem to …

I'd like to have my SIP phone (Aastra 480i) set a state variable on the ISY indicating when it is on or off hook. All it can do is open a URI, there is no facility for adding Basic Authentication. Is there any way to do this w/o the authentication? It would be simpler to do this w/o involving another computer.

Hi, Can the file that stores notifications group be corrupt? I can't get a program to send MMS. I deleted a name in notifications group after I made sure it was not being used and all of the groups disappeared. I had no problems untill I installed Elk add on. Is there a way to redo file. Mike

I have installed one outlet link for the lights for the Christmas tree, and may install one for the outside lights. I would like to have the lights go off and on daily from the middle of Dec. until say Jan. 3, and then have the outlet stay on, as would a regular outlet, for the rest of the year. I would also like this to be continuous, ie. i don't want to have to reprogram every year, so i made it run until 2030. The only way i could think of doing it was to create two programs for the outletlinc. Will this work? Thanks Brad

I purchased 4 Insteon LED bulbs. The only instructions provided were to use an Insteon Controller to link to the buib by putting the controller into linking mode and turning on the light. The bulb stays in linking mode for 4 minutes. I tried adding a bulb using the insteon address shown on the bulb and all the system seemed to do is go through initialization without stopping. I hope that I can link my bulbs to the ISY99i so I don't have to either purchase more outlets or additional lamplnks.

I am a newer user to the ISY 994i firmware version 3.2.4 and UI version 3.2.6 and first post. I just added a keypadlinc 6 button dimmer button to a scene. All looked good so I went to test the operation of a new program using that scene. When I got back to the computer I found the system busy dialog bar looping. The prompt says "Please do not power off/unplug the system or make adjustments to linked/attached devices." The progress bar will reach up to 99% complete before restarting again. This can last hours if not days. My system consists of the ISY, two keypadlincs, two Icon switch dimmers, one 2430 controLinc, a couple of lamplincs, and a few x10 devices. This is ab…

Hi - I have several devices that have bad or unwanted links. One device has an unwanted link to another device. Several devices have links to an old PLM that went bad. (The PLM was replaced.) I just set up a triggerlinc to turn on a lamp and a KPL secondary button when the door is opened with a scene, which it does. I removed the jumper and battery and made a program to wait 2 minutes after door is closed and then turn that light off, which it does, but the status of TL is ON in closed and opened positions and I can not figure out how to turn the KPL button off. This is with 3.34. Some help please. Thanks

I have a number of scenes that are controlled by multiple (about eight) KPLs. Sometimes I need a program to be activated along with the scene and the technique I have used so far is that I have a big "OR" for all of the control events. Is there an easier way?

For some reason I can not adjust the local ramp rate for a switchlinc dimmer via 994i. I can adjust the brightness and LED level.. But the ramp rate seems to have no effect. I can adjust the ramp rate of my lamplinc just fine... Also I can adjust the ramp rate of the switchlinc dimmer directly on the switch by double tapping the set button... Just not via the isy. :/ Also the manual for the switchlinc dimmer (2477D by the way) says that it has a beep on key press option that can only be enabled via software or centre controler... Can the ISY enable this? I don't see an option for it. Any clues?

I feel dumb even asking this, but I cannot seem to resolve this programming. I simply want to repeat a set off command 24/7 once an hour to a module. I have tried the "repeat" command in both then and else and nothing I have tried seems to work.

After Hurricane Sandy knocked out our power for a few days my 3+ year old 2412S PLM died. I purchased a new 2413S PLM V1.7 and used the (How to Replace a PLM) thread in the forum. The restore process worked without a glitch. But now my scenes are not working properly. I have a scene with 6 devices (icon lamplincs) if i trigger the scene on all devices show status on, if i query the scene only 4 devices show status on. I have no communication problems in my entire insteon network, all devices query just fine. My system worked flawlessly before this PLM changeout. What could be causing this issue? ISY99ir V3.3.3

I have a Dakota Alert DCR-2500 Wireless Receiver and DCMT-2500. How do I wire the transmiter to a I/O Linc 2450. I want to prgram some scenes in the ISY trigered by motion. On the transmiter their are 3 plugs for each channels. The 3 plugs are NO, COM and NC. Were do I connect these on the I/O Link. And in the ISY the I/O link currently shows status of on or off. Will this work for what I want to do or do I have to configure something diffrently.

I just received one of the new leak sensors from Smarthome and am anxious to use it for detecting water in my basement around the a/c condenser sump pump and the floor around the water heater. I have an ISY99i and believe it is not yet integrated into its firmware but it will at some point soon. I have a large Insteon installation (over 75 devices) in my home. I control everything with an ISY99i interfaced with an Elk M1 Gold panel. Things have been working fine for over 4 years, when suddenly I lost communication between the ISY and the Elk. I could still log into each system separately with my PC, but the two systems would not talk to each other. To try to re-establish the communications, I made some regrettable changes to the communication settings on the ISY. Now, I cannot log in to the ISY. The programs I have written (that don't involve the Elk) are still running just fine, but I need to be able to log in. Is there an easy way to reset these co…
