  1. I didn't notice the firmware version on the Aeotec Dongle, but I used it straight out of the box. It has already been returned.
  2. I tried to follow what Michel was doing but the code is beyond my understanding. I don't know if there was an official determination that there is an issue with migrating Zmatter to Aeotec. However, early on we thought that the Zmatter board was bad. I always felt that the problem with the Zmatter board was a software issue that stopped the Zwave and Zigbee from communicating but I bought the Aeotec dongle just to be safe and have an alternative device. We installed the Aeotec Dongle, late on a Friday. Most everything was working by the end of the day. The next morning the Zwave and Zigbee stopped communicating. After working with the Aeotec dongle for a while, we switched back to the Zmatter board and everything worked. We determined that if I wanted to use the Aeotec dongle, I would have to include all of my devices from scratch. Having 40+ devices, I decided to keep the Zmatter board. I don't think that I would have noticed any advantages between the 700 and 800 series Zwave features.
  3. Yes, there has been much progress. Michel dedicated a significant amount of time logged into my computer. I really appreciated his help. It was above and beyond my expectations. Here is the result: We learned that my original Zmatter board was not bad after all and I ended up re-installing and using it. In a separate issue , we learned that there is much difficulty migrating to the Aeotec 10 Pro stick. I am returning it. We discovered that some of the issue was that information was not being displayed in the Admin Console (Java base version) but was displayed correctly in the Eisy-UI console. The Admin Console is going away so there was no reason to spend time fixing the software. I personally was not familiar with the Eisy-UI console but now I am using it exclusively and getting familiar with it. All the best.
  4. My Zwave dongle is not responding. It looks like I need to start another ticket. At this point I'm pretty frustrated. It's time to walk away and take a break. Thanks for your help. I will update you with the final outcome.
  5. I don't know what the issue was but it took Michel more than 45 minutes to get the Aeotec Dongle to work. I think the problem was within the Polisy and not the dongle. I had a recent iox backup that he used and all the information is in the Admin Console but no Zwave devices work. I have been tryng to use the "Replace Failed Node" feature and that is not working ( I am probably doing it wrong). Maybe you can help me there. Here is what I am doing. For the example I am using a GE In Wall Smart Dimmer Factory reset Dimmer Go to Dimmer in Admin Console Under Z-Wave, select Replace Failed Node Select Yes to continue At this point I am expecting a Listening for new node type of message but that does not happen. Ant suggestions?
  6. Hello Guy Lavoie, Michel was able to fix my issue. I do not know what he did but it took a while. I think now I need to include all of my devices except the Insteon ones. Unfortunately, I have many devices and even more programs. Do you have any suggestions on how to approach including all of my devices and have them inserted into the programs with the least amount of pain possible?
  7. Will do. Thank you for your help. Techman, thank you for your reply.
  8. Yes, the Zigbee feature of the Aeotec dongle is working. I needed to re-include a zigbee device and it was successful. There was a change in the system after I ran the command line you suggested. Before the command, the Zwave tab at the top of the Admin Console said "Zmatter Z-wave not Responding". After the command was run the Zwave tab dissapeared. Zigbee is functioning In configuration - Matter Support is on Zigbee Support is Auto Z-Wave Support is Auto
  9. Thank you Guy. I have made some progress the Zigbee seems to be working but not the zwave. However, I am getting the option in the configuration tab "Migrate to Zmatter Z-Wave" That option was not visible before. Of course, the Zmatter board is not installed anymore and the Aeotec 10 pro is in the bottom USB port of my Polisy. Do you have any suggestions as to get the Polisy to look at the USB port?
  10. I have purchase an Eisy and am waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime the Zmatter board in my Polisy just failed. I purchased an Aeotec zwave/zigbee USB dongle that I want to install in my Polisy until the Eisy arrives. Then move the Aeotec dongle to the Eisy. The Polisy has version 6.1.2. I have been searching for directions and cannot find clear steps to take. I have spent hours with AI and I cannot find a way to remove the zmatter in the software and have it look at the usb port. I have done a lot of removing and reinstalling the zmatter board and Aeotec dongle. I lost tract of what software changes and reboots that I tried through the Admin console and SSH. When the zmatter board first failed under the Zwave menu is said Zmatter z-wave is not responding. The Zigbee menu tab had all the correct tabs. Here is my current status: Zmatter board is currently removed from the polisy and the Aeotec dongle is installed. The Zwave tab says - Zmatter z-wave not responding (It is still looking for the zmatter board) The Zigbee tab says zigbee not responding (It is still looking for the zmatter board) Any help will be appreciated even sending me to the correct web page with the instructions. Thanks
  11. I am installing a Tuya Zigbee Smart Sprinkler Timer to my Polisy. I am running Version 5.9.1. After the installation process is complete, I have no functionality in the device's page. Please see attached image. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. I have reset the Zigbee dongle. All with the same results. All suggestions are welcomed. Thanks
  12. Thank you very much Guy for having the patience to explain, to me, a very simple concept that I could not grasp on my own. I have created the exact garage door program that I wanted. All the best,
  13. Thanks Guy. I think I understand. I'm a bit slow at these things. I'm going to explore the portal a little more.
  14. Thank you Guy for your quick response. I am looking through the Universal Devices Administrative Console and cannot find any sort of condition for "Alexa close door command". Where is that located? Thanks again
  15. Hello, I am in need of help creating a garage door program in my Polisy. I have a garage door with a ZWave tilt sensor on it. The Garage door opener is a Chamberlain brand opener with a pushbutton wall switch. I have a Zooz Zen16 relay wired directly to the pushbutton wall switch. My Polisy is connected to Alexa and I have a simple program that momentarily closes contact to the pushbutton wall switch in both "Then' and "Else" fields. I can use the commands "Alexa, open the garage door." or "Alexa close the garage door". Here is my problem. In reality, it does not matter if I command Alexa to "open" or "close" the garage door. Essentially the pushbutton wall switch is activated and the garage door will travel to the opposite of it's current position. Therefore, if I forget that the garage door is closed and I command Alexa to "Close" the door, it will open. I have set up the tilt sensor to create a state variable. "Off" if the door is closed and "On" if the door is open. Here is where I am stuck. I want to command Alexa to "Close" the garage door and in the program check to see if the door is open or closed. If it is already close it should do nothing. If it is "open" then it activates the pushbutton. And I want the same to happen if I command Alexa to "Close" the garage door. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks for your time.
  16. I have a reliability issue with the ZEN31 LED dimmer. I have six of them on the top and bottom my kitchen cabinets. (I am working with Zooz support on this issue as well) At sunset a program turns on and sets various intensity levels to four Z-Wave switches and two Insteon switches. It also triggers the "Then" of a separate program that sets six ZEN31 dimmers as such: Red-0, Green-0 ,Blue-0, Warm White-255, Intensity-50%. At 9:00pm a program turns off one Z-Wave switch and then sets the six ZEN31 dinners as such: Red-0, Blue-255, Green-0, Warm White-0, Intensity 25%. My problem is that intermittently some the ZEN31 dimmers do not respond correctly. I have been tracking it for nearly a year and the issue is random throughout the six ZEN31 and not in any sort of recognizable pattern. However, the Z-Wave and Insteon devices work flawlessly. I have ruled out distance as an issue. My system is a Polisy with a new ZMatter board. (the previous was a Zooz Zwave dongle) IoX version 5.5.9 Has anyone experienced this kind of issue? Thank you
  17. Thank you Asbril. I checked to see if my thermostats are addressed as ZY and they are. I decided to try again. So I deleted the Thermostats from the Alexa app. Then deleted the devices from the ISY portal connected to Alexa. I did not exclude the Thermostats from the ZWave system as everything is working fine there. I re-added the thermostats in Alexa. Ran discovery in Alexa. They were both discovered by Alexa, but I get a message from Alexa that the Thermostats are not responding. I am happy to try any other suggestions. I'm sorry that I am unable do offer you any suggestions with your issue. I am not experienced with using Variables and routines through Alexa. All the best,
  18. A few days ago I migrated to Zmatter. I first upgraded to version 5.5.3. Struggled through the devices that did not successfully migrate. Now the only issue I cannot resolve is to regain control of my Go Control Zwave thermostat through Alexa. I have two of the thermostats in my home and they both do not respond to Alexa. They do respond perfectly through the IoX system. This is what I have done. Deleted old thermostats in Alexa App. Deleted thermostat connection to Alexa in the ISY Portal Un-included and re-included the thermostats 3 times. Factory reset both thermostats twice. Alexa seems to discover the thermostats but says that they are not responding when asked to perform a command. Does anyone have any suggestion? Thank you.
  19. Thank you Mr. Bill. That makes perfect sense to me and explains it all. Thank you Getty for your efforts.
  20. Thank you for your quick reply. I have followed the process in the wiki that you suggested many times in the past and just now in case I overlooked something. No Change. I'm running Windows 11 Browser is Chrome Both computers are on WiFi. When I try to access Polyglot V2 it sends me directly to the Portal Login website. When I try to access Polyglot V3 it will not connect to address https://my.isy.io:3000 I am curranty using computer #2 away from home and connecting to the IoP via internet. I do not know about VLAN but I suspect not. It is a simple home network. Thank you,
  21. I have a Polisy Pro and two computers. One computer I can access Polyglot V2 and V3. The other computer will not access either Polyglot versions. Both computers are able to run the IoP software version 5.4.4. The second computer is newer and I take it with me when I am away from the house. The first computer stays home and is always on. I have been accessing the Polyglot V2 and V3 when I am away from home through the first computer by using the remote software Teamviewer. I would like to finally resolve my problem. I have looked through the forums and help sites and clicked around the IoP software with no luck. Please help walk me through the setup. Thanks
  22. I am slowly switching over from my ISY994i to ISY on Polisy. I found a posting on this topic posted on 12/13/21 and followed the direction (or so I thought). Somewhere along the line I made a few errors and now I have confused myself. Here is what I did. Polyglot Settings: Address/Hostname - Changed IP address the the Polisy address. 192.168.1.144 Port - Changed to 8080 Username - Entered username Password - Entered Password Use HTTPS - unchecked MYQTT Setting: Address/Hostname - localhost (Already set. I did not need to change) (Here is where I believe I went wrong) MQTT Port - ****** I changed it to 8080. (I cant remember the original port number.)****** Reset Ran Putty command sudo rm -rf/var/isy/FILES/CONF Noticed that I probably should not have changed MYQTT port and changed it to 8083 (That is possibly the original port number might be but am not sure) Reset Ran Putty I get message that ISY automatically detected needs Username and password. I have entered the info with no success. And Polisy does not show up on ISY Finder App
  23. I Just found the issue... Under the "My Programs" folder I had an erroneous "If" condition. I deleted that condition and.... Voila!! It worked just fine. Sorry for the false alarm.
  24. Hello, I have just upgraded my Polisy to ISY 5.4.3. I wrote my first program that included a command to send a text and email notification. When I tested this by executing the "Run Then" command I did not get any notifications. If I go to the Configurations - Setting/Groups and run a Test, I get a correct test notification on both Text and Email. Here is the program: If - Attic Leak Sensor / ZW002 Water Detected 1 Status is On Then - Send Notification 'Tom Text and Email' Content 'Attic Leak Sensor'
  25. I'm sorry I am replying so late. I just noticed your question. No, I did not have any issues pairing. My ISY is one floor away approximately 30 feet away from the ZEN31 and I am using six of them.
