And now it's up again

That does the trick. Thanks!

Hi, Maybe once an hour is plenty. It would be triggered by detecting a power draw from the pump--I was thinking if a certain amount of wattage is detected. This sounds similar to how you use the plug for your dryer, but the difference is that the pump goes off every few minutes at times.

I appreciate any help and ideas. I have a backup sump pump in place in case the primary one fails. I hooked up a YoLink plug that monitors energy usage to the backup sump pump, and I'm using the YoLink nodeserver. I think I can figure out how to send a message when the backup sump pump goes off, but how do I write a program that won't trigger every single time the pump fires? Thanks. Bob

Coincidence, I had a blackout today. PLM/X-10 wasn't responding, and this advice worked. Thanks!

Many great answers here. Thanks to all! Bob

Hi, follow up from the recent UD message that AT&T is ending email-to-text alerts soon. Right now I use this to send eisy alerts my wife. What is a good alternative, preferably that doesn't involve her installing UD Mobile? She has an iPhone. Also, I'm not the most gifted eisy user. Thanks. Bob

@Rocketron Should see something like this at the top (before upgrade it said 13.1 instead of 14.1): *** OS *** FreeBSD eisy 14.1-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE-p6 #4 releng/14.1-n267727-74b6c983723c-dirty: Fri Nov 15 12:13:25 PST 2024 root@bsdev14.isy.io:/usr/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/eisy amd64 *** Package Information ***

Looking for advice, please. Can't get 4 nodes to restart: Wemo, Nest, Sonos and Blink. Tried multiple reboots, restart node attempts. Thanks. Follow up: I restored Polygot V3 from the backup file and it's all working again. I didn't see this mentioned in the prior posts. If it was, sorry.

I've read the documentation for this plugin, but forgive me as I'm nowhere near the level of most of you. I have a GE Cync wall switch that I'd like to program using eisy. The switch can be controlled by Alexa. Is that an example of what this plugin is for? Thanks. Bob

Thanks for the advice, as always!

If I'm selling or giving away an ISY994i and do a factory reset, will the 500 series Z-Wave dongle I installed still be recognized? I'm guessing it won't unless I go back and update the version to 5.0.13. Any suggestions for how to handle this? Thanks. Bob

I had this problem when I changed eisy from wired to Wifi connection. Changing it back to a wired connection fixed the problem

Yes, this problem seems to have started when I performed an update. I did mention this UD support. Maybe a doctor should listen to his patient..... Anyway, is there way to roll this back? Thanks for helping to make the likely connection

I removed the ZW/Zigbee dongle. I don't get the infinite "System Busy" loop message, but now I get other popup errors and the system keeps rebooting itself.

I'm in the middle of a trouble ticket, but it's on pause because of the weekend. In the meantime, I'm wondering if anyone has some insight regarding this problem. I recently migrated from ISY to eisy. All was going well. Only glitch was I had was to make eisy rediscover the battery-operated ZW devices and fix the programs involved. Eisy is now on an infinite "System Busy" loop. I think it started after I used "Upgrade Packages." At the advice given through the trouble ticket, I tried to power cycle, restore with an earlier backup, remove any plug-ins and look for programs that are in a loop. I cleared the Java cache. Nothing works, and now I can't load any programs, either. I'm attaching some photos. Thanks for any hints. Bob

Thanks, will do that

Migrated from ISY to eisy, and using ZMatter USB. All of the plug-in ZW devices migrated easily. I was able to migrate one battery-operated ZW device after waking it up and using Synchronize/Update with Interview. As for the rest of the ZW devices, I can't get them to migrate and stop saying Placeholder. I'm placing the devices close to the dongle. Does anyone have any insight or tips on what I'm doing wrong or what I can do? Thanks. Bob

@TechmanThanks again

@Brian HI have a serial PLM for ISY, but I have a new USB PLM to use with eisy. What I was wondering if that would be a problem switching out when I set up eisy? Or should I get a serial adapter cable and set up eisy with the old PLM for now? Thanks @TechmanThanks!

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I don't want to mess up migration from ISY-994i to eisy. I know this has been covered a million times already, but that's actually created a bit of information overload. I have a serial PLM hooked to ISY but have a new USB PLM to use. I have several battery and plug-in Z-wave devices. I would like to do this on a desktop, not mobile. Would some of you helpful forum members point me to the right Wiki and/or give me a few tips? Thanks as always. Bob

I bought Ecolink Z-Wave Plus Indoor Flood / Freeze Sensor FLF-ZWAVE5-ECO from The Smartest House 2 years ago and they have been working well. They are out of stock on The Smartest House website, but available at Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Ecolink-Zwave-Freeze-Sensor-FLF-ZWAVE5-ECO/dp/B0716YVPLG Bob

First Alert Smoke and CO2 Alarm--What does each node mean?
BobM99 replied to BobM99's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
Hi Techman, Thanks for the help. This is the smoke detector: https://www.amazon.com/Z-Wave-Detector-Carbon-Monoxide-Generation/dp/B08FFB233Y Also, I am attaching a document from First Alert labeled confidential (!) which has some technical information. Have a good day. Bob BRK_ZCOMBO_Z-Wave_Specification_V2.pdf
