  1. I had the "no proxies available" in my UD Mobile this morning before leaving for work. I didn't do anything to fix the problem. When I arrived at work I logged onto my home computer remotely and opened the admin console. Everything looked fine there. I checked the mobile app again and it was all good. I did nothing to actively try and fix it.
  2. Thank you for the reply. That was the issue I had before and I was able to get everything running then. This new issue seems to have sorted itself out. I did have to generate a new API and put that into PG3. It then took about an hour to fill in all the weather conditions and forecasts last night. This morning it seems to be working fine. I am still using the free version. On my account at OpenWeather I have limited the number of calls my account will allow to prevent crossing over into where I need to pay for it. K-Bert
  3. I have used OpenWeatherMap for a few years now and only had one problem which require I make a new API key. Now it is not updating at all. The current conditions haven't changed since two days ago. Same with Forecast 0. All the other Forecasts are blank. I went to OpenWeather and noticed that my Free Plan now has these limits: Hourly forecast: unavailable Daily forecast: unavailable Calls per minute: 60 3 hour forecast: 5 days So is this a problem with what I have set up in my system or has OpenWeather clamped down on what those of us who do not pay a subscription can see. Also not sure why I am not getting updated current conditions. K-Bert
  4. My router set up has worked for years and nothing has changed. Pretty much everything is set to a static IP so I don't have to worry about conflicts. I did call my wife and tried controlling devices both through the admin console (remote desktop to the home PC) and the mobile app. It was all working. I wouldn't be surprised if the PLM is going bad. It is about eleven years old. I purchased it shortly after moving into the house. It is a USB PLM that I used with a Raspberry Pi running a free home automation server. Near as I can tell the person who wrote it sold it and it was removed from the internet. I then moved to an ISY994 and bought a Serial PLM. Since I, like so many others, disposed of the USB to Serial PLM cable (I didn't even know it was in the box) I just switched to the USB PLM when I upgraded to the EISY. As for the Z-Wave not working, my only guess would be that the EISY was spending all its time/resources trying to initialize the PLM that it just wouldn't do anything else. Doesn't sound likely though. I will order a new USB PLM from the Canadian distributor when they have them back in stock. It claims that the units built from 2023 has upgraded electronics and should be more robust. K-Bert
  5. Unexpected update: While I was still at work my wife left the house and I received a notification from UD Mobile that the garage door was opened. I opened the app and it is all connected and working now. No idea why/how. K-Bert
  6. I have done a full reboot with the removal of the power cord. I updated from 5.8.3 to 5.8.4. From the ticket I am told that the PLM likely has gone bad. Although none of my z-wave devices are working either. I have the next procedure to test when I am home again. From the ticket: 1. Unplug the PLM, wait 1 minute, plug back in 2. Press/hold the power button on eisy->red. Click again blue 3. Check the PLM status again. If disconnected, then the PLM is dead. You might qualify for some discounts from insteon (I am not sure when they expire): https://www.universal-devices.com/celebrate-insteon/ Please note that when you have a new PLM, you MUST do a Restore PLM. Please follow the instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:File_Menu#Restore_Modem_(PLM) K-Bert
  7. Two more error messages I have received when I tried to turn devices on or off using the admin console: "Socket Open Failed java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information" and "Could not set file modified timestamp [./FILES/CONF/DEF/f10]" "Could not set file modified timestamp [./FILES/DEF/f1/i1/emap]" I'm afraid I don't know what they mean. K-Bert
  8. If I can't get this sorted by tomorrow evening I will certainly be submitting a ticket. I just don't want to do that until I find out that there isn't a simple fix. K-Bert
  9. And another attempt and I am back to the "Initializing System" status bar. K-Bert
  10. Yes. I can reboot from the admin console while the initializing status bar is on the screen. I get notifications on the mobile app, but it still fails. The notifications in order received are: PG3 is stopping PG3 is starting eisy xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx Notification Node Server Standard Edition Startup. I am able to log into PG3 now and all my nodes claim to be connected. However this time when I tried to log into the admin console I received an "XML Parse Error https://...." instead of the log in window. So I'm pretty sure the unit isn't bricked, but the IoX is very unhappy. K-Bert
  11. I should mention that I can see the firmware version as 5.8.4 in the admin console. I can navigate to PG3 in my browser but I cannot log in. I get a failure server response message. K-Bert
  12. Good day, I upgraded my EISY this morning using the update button on the admin console. I then went to work and several hours later I found that I could not access the EISY on the mobile app. "Error: Requested ISY not online. 503" The PG3 part seems to be working as I received notifications that my nodes have connected. After dinner this evening I tried to access the system with my laptop on my home network. The ISY finder found it right away and I was able to log in using my credentials. None of my devices statuses are displayed. The flag in the bottom left is yellow and it says "Initializing System". I do have the status bar with the same title that fills up from 0% to 100%, but then just starts over again at zero. This is the first time I have ever had trouble with an update. Any advice on what I should try to fix this? K-Bert
  13. Like bpwwer said, its all in the PG3 interface. Mine is set up as such: Key = host Value = 192.168.X.XXX After saving the changes and restarting the Admin Console it was added. -K

I guess this will be the final update: one of the programmers looked into this and determined that the library is old and confirmed that it does not have the feature to load presets or playlists. He also stated that it would not be worth the effort to update it as there are only a few people interested in it. K
  15. It is strange that it didn't want to work for the longest time, but is seems to be happy now. I know that the wifi I have in my house is solid, I have a mesh network set up with two units in the house and I will have a third in the garage soon (conduit is already buried). What I might do is purchase a second unit and play with that and leave the one that is currently working in place. K
  16. I hope this will be my final update. I have no explanation. When I last left this I had the ratgdo connected to the garage door opener. I also had it connected in PG3, but I was unable to control the door or even log into the ratgdo using its IP address. I didn't want to get the ladder back out to climb up and get the ratgdo so I left it connected and plugged in. This morning after I was done at the gym I checked the mobile app to make sure my family had got up in time for todays planned activities. Because I haven't organized the garage door into a folder yet as it wasn't working it was right at the top of the list. I clicked it and I could see the garage door status! I tried turning the door opener light And according to what I saw on the app it was working, but I couldn't verify. Not long after that my family left the house. I saw the notification from MyQ so I checked the UD app. Sure enough it told me the door was open. Then it told me it was obstructed as my wife drove her car out. It then told me it was closing and finally closed. When I returned home I was able to use the UD app to open and close the door. I checked and I could indeed turn theblight on and off. Thank you to everyone who gave advice. It seems to be working now! ...still don't know why. Nor do I care. Just so long as it works. K
  17. I should also point out that I cannot log into the ratgdo itself. Whenever i put in the the IP address into a browser on my home network the connection times out. K
  18. If I could prove that it was the device and not me screwing something up along the way I would. However, I did not reflash the device, but left it plugged in and it did appear on the network again. So I reconnected it to the opener and went and did something else for a while. When I came back it was listed as a device in my router again. So I continued through the instructions to get it set up. PG3 discovered the device and it is listed as "online" in the admin console now. However all statuses are simply listed as "Unknown" and I have no control of tje door from here. Yes, I have opened and closed the door a couple times. I'm walking away from it again for a bit. K
  19. Well, last week the ratgdonwoukd appear on my network when plugged in and would move to the "offline" list on my router when unplugged. I found a larger than needed plastic electronics case to mount it in and wired it into my garage door this evening. After plugging the door in I powered the ratgdo up and the blue light came on. That is all it did. It dod not appear to show up on my network like last week. My garage is detached but my wifi is strong enough to reach it. MyQ works. I have good signal at least three houses over. Still, my first thought was that maybe I was too far from the router. So I unplugged the radgdo connector and brought it back to the house. It still did not appear on the network. I think I may have to try reflashing the firmware again. K

Update 2: Original developer is unable to put any time in this. Universal Devices is assigning one of their gurus to look at it. K

The reply was quick. I was asked to submit the issue at the github page: https://github.com/UniversalDevicesInc-PG3/udi-wled-nodeserver I replied stating that the original developer seems to have walked away from this (it is mentioned in the "issues' section). K

That is a little disappointing. A quick google search makes it sound like EISY and HA can play together, but I don't know if I have the skills or the time to try an make it work. Most of what I found was HA being the primary controller. A peek at the code in the node server makes it look like it would only need a few extra lines to bring in the presets, but I am not a programmer so I assume that I am very wrong on that. K
