That's interesting. I have never had it fail until the past few days. How do you reload your saved profile file? How do I save it in the future, so I can fix it?

Update: I installed Java and the IoX Launcher on an old computer I have. It installed fine and immediately found my ISY! So, I know it's a computer problem with my laptop that I have run it on for years. I can't leave it on the old computer, because it's extremely slow and runs my Christmas light show. I need to get it working on my laptop again, but at least I know it's the laptop, not the ISY. Still open for suggestions! Thanks!

Several times I have searched for the *.state files, and they don't appear to be there at all. I just tried again--no items in the search, so nothing to delete. I am running Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045, Build 19045. My network is indeed set to private (no public network). Removed power from ISY, removed SD card and cleaned its contacts. Replaced the card [the dumb card went between the case and the slot, so I had to take the whole ISY apart and get it out!]. Restored power. Lights behaved as the wiki said they should. No third party Anti-virus or Firewalls are installed on my computer. Still doesn't work. Thanks for your patience and help!

Yes, all instances show as "Java(TM) Web Launcher" in Task Manager. My ISY994i has now stopped controlling anything. None of my programs work (lights turning on and off at sunset and sunrise, etc.), and I can't command with voice through Alexa anymore. It says, "Sorry, the hub that xxxx device is connected to is not responding." I ran the SFC/SCANNOW. The result was "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." Is it time to break out the cash to buy a new EISY?

I don't know if this makes any difference to a solution, but I discovered that all the instances where I try to start IoX Launcher are showing as running in the Task Manager. I either have to restart or end each task one by one. So something is still running!

I have done everything on this Wiki several times. I just now took time to do it all again, making sure I paid attention in detail. Still doesn't work!

I deleted Java 8u311, and got 8u441 to load by using the CMD Prompt to install it with the /S ending (silent installation--no user interface). It loaded great. Then I got the latest IoX launcher file from Universal Devices. Still the same thing: UD logo shows for two seconds, then nothing! Over and over and over.....

I am using Java 8u311. For a year or so, my computer won't let me load an upgrade. It shows a script error. I see that many people have had that error. I have tried every remedy I can find to fix it, but nothing works. It has been working fine on this version. I have deleted it and loaded it multiple times. I have ISY994i. I haven't gone to eisy yet. Firmware? How do I tell, if the launcher won't load? What could have changed overnight to make this not work? I have also downloaded the launcher directly from the UD web site. I will search to see how to launch with the Java console enabled. Thanks so much for your help!

I finally got it to load. On one of the forums entries I found this link, and it worked: https://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/admin.jnlp Now there is another problem--none of my programs are there! All the devices, scenes, etc. are in "Main," and my program FOLDERS are in "Programs," but no actual programs. I tried restoring from a known good backup. After selecting the file to use, I get this error message.

I am on Windows. I just went through the troubleshooting pages again. I have tried everything I can see to do--again. I still get the same thing: The UD logo appears for a few seconds and then goes off, but it never loads the window to select my ISY.

I made some adjustments last night to my ISY, but today the Iox will not launch. The UD logo comes up for a few seconds, then disappears, and nothing else happens. I can click on it over and over, or try to launch it from the programs menu, but I always get the same thing. I also deleted Java and the IoX and reloaded to try again--several times. Always the same result: The UD logo and then nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it's a work around, but it works--most of the time. It's a bit finicky, but I'm still tweaking a few commands in my programs. Thanks again.

Thank you so much! After thinking about this all evening, I started doing just what you have written--then I got your answer. I can't believe I came up with the same solution. The only difference is that I don't have a virtual light; I have a plug in module, but it should work the same. Thanks again!

There is not a light in that scene that does not get turned on manually. In fact, the scene is used only to turn all lights OFF. I would never use the scene to turn them all on at the same time. It's so that when I leave the basement I can just tell Alexa to turn off all basement lights. So, I want that same scene to change the mode of the thermostat to OFF. I would always turn it on manually.

I have an Insteon thermostat that I have set to control two heaters in my COLD basement office. That works great. At the end of the day (or when leaving my office), I have a scene set up to turn all my office lights and devices off, by saying "Alexa, turn off office lights." I would like to add the thermostat to that scene and have it set the thermostat mode to OFF when the other lights go off. I can add it to the scene, but it doesn't turn it off. I don't need to turn the thermostat on--I can do that manually--just need to turn it off with my existing scene. I don't want the heaters to run unless I am there. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ok, I got it to work---finally! It takes a few seconds to respond from the program, but it works! Wahoooooo! Thanks for everyone's help.

I have a keypad that controls lights, a fan, and a heater in my bathroom. One light is directly controlled by the keypad, and the other buttons control mini modules located in a hidden box, and the min modules control two other lights, the fan, and the heater. I have a program set up to shut off the mini modules if the light button on the keypad is switched off. However, the lights on the keypad buttons don't respond to show that those modules are off. I don't want to use a scene because I don't want the other lights, fan, and heater to come on every time the main light is turned on. They have to be turned on separately, but go OFF when the light is turned off. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to add some new scenes to allow Alexa to control them from spoken commands. I've done this many times, but now nothing works. I haven't been on the isy portal for some time, and now I can't log in at all. https://my.isy.io goes to a blank white page and just sits there. I tried the UD home page, which says to log in from the console. When doing that, it just goes to a blue authentication page with no place to enter anything. Have I lapsed in my membership? Have things changed so much that I'm not up-to-date? Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciate!

Never mind! It was one of the switches that was causing a problem. I factory reset it and restored it from the ISY and everything is dandy now!

I have three 2477S switches and one Door Sensor all controlling the same lights. The door sensor and the primary switch work fine; but the other two switches sometimes work and other times they don't. The LED lights on the switches "flicker" and finally stop flickering, then the switch works correctly. How should I have these set up in the scene that controls them? I can't quite figure it out. Thanks!!!
