?? I need to rewrite my programs. I was not using else statements. This helps a lot and I realize how to make my programs better now.

Thank you! @larryllix how would I call the program that turns the lights off? Would I have to say "turn on livingroom lights off"? I hope this makes sense... controlling devices with the programming vs the scenes is still a little complex for me.

I am having trouble calling programs from my alexa. I have Hue lights (always powered on) that are activated by a zwave switch/scene button. The button presses don't call scenes just programs that turn different "Hue scenes" on and off based on some programming logic. I want to be able to call the specific programs from the alexa voice commands. Examples: "living room lights on bright", "living room lights off", "living room nightlight", etc. I have not had a problem with this when setting up scenes or individual devices on the alexa. Best i can do is get alexa to tell me that "living room does not support that feature" Any help or direction would be appreciated.

I would be curious to see what controllers do implement this...

I assume this is a firmware issue with the zen32. I wonder if zooz can update this in the future.... I have a homeseer switch and it does not have those options either. I find it disturbing that both of these don't implement the z-wave scenes appropriately.

The zooz zen32 has leds (configurable so behavior be changed) for each of the 5 buttons and they are completely independent and only affected by the button is on. I feel like the zen32 only sends the on command but then I see that the led is kept in sync with on/off status....

is there a way to store variable's values if there is a power outage or you have to restart the ISY?

is there a list of all the node servers and a general idea of what they do or connect to? (are the sublinks on the forum the only list?) I am thinking about getting a polisy and am curious about all that is available out there before I commit that much money...

there is some real power with the programming. I am now thinking about buying a POLISY now to get more devices in my control network but that is a big expense ?‍♂️

I am sorry but I don't see that. Tried looking all over in the scene and the controller in the scene and was not able to find a dropdown with that text. The scene will turn on the z-wave light I am using and the scene light on the controller will show the scene is active, but when press the scene button again the light on the controller shows the scene going off but the light stays on. this is the first z-wave controller I have really played with and have only used some insteon ones before and it does not seem to work the same. On the other hand i really have liked playing with the programing aspect of ISY

Thank you. I think I am going to look into Hue it seems like it will be my easiest way to go and accomplish what need to. Can you point me to where i can learn about the network resources you mention. I don't really understand what that is... I am a newbie still.

thank you for your response! I have a question that is probably very stupid (sorry in advance): to run the Hue node server i have to have a Polisy at my house? I still don't have an understanding of the node server integrations... ?‍♂️ Follow up questions on the Magic home bulbs, those look to be wifi, how does that connect to ISY? (node server too?) Don't wifi bulbs clog up your wifi? I already have too many wifi devices connected to my network.

Any recommendations for smart light bulbs I can control from my ISY. I have been using Inovelli z-wave light bulbs with success but would like to know if there are any other options available and worth looking at. Also i need an option for the smaller light bulbs (?e12? / ?candelabra? style). I would love to use zigbee but that does not seem to be an easy option with the ISY ? any responses are appreciated. This does not seem to work. I have figured out how to get it basically working with the programming and changing the parameters of the LEDs within the program ?‍♂️ I guess this is good enough.

I have played a little more with this and have gotten it to work... kind of... I wrote two programs to control it but the lights on the keypad would not always be guaranteed to be in sync.... I recently installed the Zooz Zen32 scene controller in my house. I would like to use more of these because i like the ability to decouple the control from the main button and the ability to control multiple scenes from the controller but i cannot seem to figure out how to program it. I am a beginner at ISY but I can't seem to figure this controller out. I have the on/off of the main switch/relay down, it works fine but the scene control buttons have issues. I can get them to turn on scenes but not off (in both scenes and programs). It seems there is no off event that ISY recognizes. i can make it where i set 2 buttons to control a scene (one on, one off) but that leads to needing double presses on the buttons witch can get annoying and that uses 2 buttons where 1 should work. Please help. Again I am not very experienced and maybe missing something simple or just going about this the completely wrong way ?‍♂️ Thanks in advance, Robert

what is the easiest way to be able to control zigbee with my ISY? I really would like to be able to get a lot of zigbee light bulbs and other items.

I ordered an insteon fanlinc for the fan and its attached light and the ENERWAVE Z-Wave Plus Relay, Hidden Smart Switch Wireless Remote Control https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G7OD1F8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for the second light. Will this work. I thought it could be put in the light box or the switch box but the instructions only reference putting it on the switch. Any help wiring it in the box or another option would be appreciated.

I have an isy in my main house but want to add some control to a couple other buildings on my property. I have power run to a barn, shed, and guest house from my breaker box on my main house. Will this be enough to carry the signal to communicate with my other buildings if I add some wired insteon outlets and devices?
