@bpwwer something weird just happened with my Roku NS. My Rokus were not responding to me in the ISY or responding to the wrong device (the living room roku commands were going to the loft one etc..). I opened my Polyglot dashboard and there was a message telling me that there was an update and i needed to restart. After the restart it was doing the same thing so I just deleted the NS and reinstalled it. It now works fine but the Master Bedroom roku that was not adding in the Admin Console has completely disappeared from the ISY and the NS. Any suggestions....

this is from the post mentioned by @lilyoyo1. setting this seems to have done the trick. It did cause a few issues with hue devices i had previously set up. anything with a name change was recreated and the original one in the ISY was left but the node did not work.

Does anyone know how to get a second Hue bridge setup on the NS? I use two bridges and am trying to set up a second bridge on my NS. I looked at the v2 documentation but did not see anything about adding a second bridge.

Lol. Talking to your self.... I am using 7 programs and a state variable to use this switch to control hue lights, update status LEDs, use alexa, and keep ISY updated when using the hue app control (or any other non ISY control merhod). You can control a device, switch, hue, lights, etc and change LED status with just two programs and a variable though.

Where do you find these videos. I have not had much success finding videos on YouTube.

@bpwwer, sorry I did not mean to imply anything negative about the NS. I don't think there is anything wrong with it or saying you missed something. It is things like this that bug me in general. I like to figure little quarks like this out. (I wish I had the coding skills to understand more of this) It also bugs me that Roku has this ability but only seems to share it with Amazon, they won't even put it in their own app. ?‍♂️

@bpwwer I see the commands on my Roku TVs and any command seems to turn on the Roku connected TVs that support it. I find it strange that Alexa can trigger the turn off action through the HDMI connection but the app, or remote don't seem to. I wonder if the same command to turn off the Roku TV would work on the Roku Boxes.... ?‍♂️?‍♂️

Not exactly. I have a post about ways to controlling TVs. This is more specific. Tring to figure out if the node server can duplicate what Alexa was able to do with the HDMI-CEC.

Does the Roku NS have the ability to send the power off command to the roku and tv? I have my Rokus connected to my Alexa and if I tell Alexa to turn off the a roku it will turn off the TV. I cant find this command in the NS or the Roku app.

@dcard I think you will like the Polisy. I have had mine for a few days and i really like it. With the hue NS I have been able to keep track of light status so I can control the lights by app, wall keypad, and alexa keeping it all in sync showing the status with the LED light on my keypad. It is a complicated set of programs but I think it will solve all of my needs.

I am attempting to use this NS and I think everything is set up right but I am not getting any data from the forecast nodes. Forecast Nodes 1-6 show nothing (just default values in AC). Forecast 0 downloaded data and appeared right (I am assuming forecast 0 is supposed to be todays forecast) yesterday but has not updated today. it still shows info and the day of week from yesterday. I am including the error log from the NS. There is an error that shows up, but i don't know what to do with it. AERISWeather_5-11-2022_52257_AM.zip

I just started using experimenting with the Roku Node server and was curious if there was a way to turn on and off TVs? Starting a new Logitech Harmony system seems like a bad idea with it at end of life.

I am missing one of my 6 rokus on my admin console. It shows my master bedroom on my Polyglot node details page (see picture below) but does not show up in admin console.

Is it a black cable? I was searching and found a black cable as described, for some reason I was expecting blue like the one on there now. It also seems a little narrower than an ethernet cord... I passed over it 3 times in my drawer because it was not what i was expecting ?????? I guess I made some faulty assumptions.

oh crap! I kept see this and thinking that it was the same cable... I should still have that cable in my drawer but if i don't can i order one off of amazon?

No I am just starting fresh with my Polisy. I only have Insteon in my kitchen and hallway. I am going to rewrite how they control stuff anyway so I actually want a clean slate for the devices and PLM. I almost decided to put in z-wave devices but don't want the cost after the new Polisy. I have it cable it came with, it is the one I am using to connect the PLM to my ISY

Is there a specific procedure to remove a PLM from my ISY and restore it on my IoP Polisy? Or can i just delete all of my Insteon devices and power off my ISY, unplug the PLM from the isy, plug it into the Polisy and follow the instructions for enabling Insteon on the Polisy: INSTEON Support Connect the PLM to your Polisy Polisy supports the following PLMs: 2412S and 2413S through the DB9 connector on the back. 2413U and 2448A7 through the USB port on the back. If you have a 2413S (serial), you will need a cable that looks like this Go to the Admin Console | Configuration tab Check INSTEON Support Checkbox Click the Save button Click on the Reboot button. My Insteon setup is small enough that i can easily recreate what i have and i am going to be making some changes anyway. Thanks in advance,

I have an ISY and a new IoP that I am moving everything to. Can I open an admin panel for both at the same time on the same computer? I am assuming this should not be a problem but I don't want to cause problems.

I am playing with my new Polisy and want to install a weather NS but there are so many. Some are free some are not, I don't mind paying a little but would like to know what I am getting and what people who have experience suggest....
