  1. My next question is does it matter for programming that eminates from the ISY?
  2. I'm sure this is covered somewhere but my thermostats don't have the correct time. Is there a way to program them to keep the correct time from the ISY? Thanks!
  3. It's identical. I didn't want to publish it (although I don't really know why not), but I merely selected the Admin Console from the first screen shot. The only change in URL is this: https://XXXXXXX.com/WEB/INDEX.HTM becomes: https://XXXXXXX.com/admin
  4. When I navigate to my ISY using my browser, this is the message I see which I think proves my certificate is correctly installed: But when I select Admin Console, here is what I see: What does this mean?
  5. Thanks for helping me! One more question, how do I check to see if the cert is successfully installed?
  6. When I download the cert, this is what I see: Can you tell me which choice to make?
  7. I am using the ISY994i/IR PRO and I sent the cert request to GoDaddy and received the cert. What I received doesn't look anything like what's in the ISY manual. I can't extract the "code" from the cert the way it is presented in the manual. I'm sure I did something wrong but it would be nice if someone could outline EXACTLY the steps to take and the type of certificate to order and how to EXACTLY install it. The manual assumes the end user understands something about certs where I don't have any experience at all. Perhaps someone could perform the whole process themselves while documenting the entire procedure?
  8. I have to say that unless I really don't understand what I'm doing, the instructions for installing a CA certificate don't work. I purchased the CA certificate from GoDaddy and downloaded it. There's no way to paste any type of information from the certificate to the ISY. I imported the certificate into the ISY using the CA certificate button and it is sitting there but I don't think that's the correct way. Can't anyone just give me step by step instructions that make sense?
  9. I would like to install a proper security certificate but I don't know the first thing about them. Can someone guide me to purchasing a properly designed security certificate and give me step by step instructions on how to install it? Thanks!
  10. I tried to find out more about certificates and it seems to me that having higher security certificates only protects the person navigating to the website and doesn't protect the website owner. Is that true? Why would someone want stronger security than the basic self signed certificate for our purposes?
  11. I recently upgraded to the 994i from the 99i and can't figure out how to install a self signed certificate. I've read the document http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/ISY994%20Series%20Network%20Security%20Guide.pdf but I'm clearly not knowlegable enough to figure out what to do. I'm sure this has been answered before so if someone would please point me to the answer, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
  12. That was easy! Thanks!! I think this needs to be a sticky while there are users upgrading because the 99i doesn't support the latest firmware.
  13. I am upgrading my ISY 99i IR Pro to the ISY 994i IR Pro and would like a step by step process to do it without losing any programming. Thanks
  14. Sorry, I should have been clearer. I have main folders in my program. One of which is active when the alarm is "armed away" and another that is active when the alarm is either "armed stay" or "disarmed". It's a really neat system that has helped my electric bill in a major way. The only problem is that all the programs have to be written in a way that makes them get tested when the alarm status changes. That's why I need the time frame as opposed to a start time. This is the condition for the "armed stay" or "disarmed" And this is the folder condition for "armed away"
  15. I use the climate module to control whether the AC or the heat settings are used since they're different. I use the conditional time because I have a completely different program running when the alarm is set to away (to save electricity) and so need the thermostats evaluated when the alarm is disarmed no matter what time. Here's an example of running the heater:
  16. Here is my current programming for running the AC: My problem is when I try to change the set temp at the thermostat, it changes back to the programmed set temp. Is there a better way to write my programs to allow for local changes?
  17. Thanks! I got it to work. I have two ISY's. One at my office and one at home. When I first ran the applet, it defaulted to the work ISY and breezed right past the window where I could add another network. Maybe you could figure out how to make it stop at the "ISY Finder" window also when only one ISY is known.
  18. I was recently reading http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10409 and downloaded the app but I often access my ISY from work remotely. How do I tell the app what address to use? Right now when I open the ISY control panel, it is blank.
  19. I've checked the interface for the 2wire and the ISY is the only computer with port forwarding activated. Just for clarification, the type of traffic is TCP, is that correct?
  20. I am trouble shooting a MobiLinc issue and part of that meant checking the port settings on my 2Wire (ATT) router. When I follow the directions in the Wiki it is recommended to check with an outside source for a guide to setting up the ports. However, it is recommended to open not only https port (443) but also port 80. Is it necessary to open both ports on the router to operate properly? One of the problems I'm having is that when I try to access my ISY remotely from a PC I cannot use https I have to use http which can't be right.
  21. If that's true then I can't figure out what might have happened. It was working fine for at least a year. Can't I just leave it plugged into the PLM?
  22. Thanks everyone, it's working again. I tried plugging the MorningLinc directly into the modem. I still don't understand why this issue would crop up suddenly but as long as it continues to work, and there's no problem with plugging directly into the modem, problem solved! Thanks so much! This forum has helped me so much over the years.
  23. I've tried moving it as you suggested. No luck but I do remember changing one possibly important thing recently. Because I was getting an error message occasionally on my Mobilinc app, I generated and installed a new self signed SSL certificate. Perhaps I caused the problem?
  24. I have the MorningLinc controller which has been working fine up until the past few weeks. I can't communicate with the device. I've tried power cycling the ISY and the modem. I've tried deleting the MorningLinc and relinking it. I've even tried replacing the MorningLinc with a brand new spare and I still get the "Cannot communicate with the device" error when trying to link (ending in the red exclaimation). This is Rev 1.2. It's all very weird since it's worked perfectly up till now. Any ideas?
