Thanks. Found a possible source and fixed it. Unfortunately, I won't know if it worked unless it doesn't!!

Last night I came home to find my outdoor front lights turning on and off like a light show. Turns out my 2 year old son had been caught playing with one of the light switches which caused this. Here's a view of the log for this event which kept going until I completely reloaded the PLM: Scene:Outdoor / Front Yard / Outdoor Front On 255 Tue 2012/09/11 06:39:11 PM Program Log Outdoor / Front I would like to incorporate the Light reading into one of my outdoor lighting programs. I just don't understand how it really works. I've been checking it daily and the readings are so unreliable compared to what I see out the window. Has anyone been able to take use of the light function and if so, how?

Is there an easy way to find every instance of where a scene is used? In other words, I would like to delete a Scene because I don't need it any longer but before I do, I would like to know if it is being used by any programs. Is there a way to find out?

Thanks!

If I call the If statement of a disabled program will it still test the if statement and run the Then or Else as directed by the results of the If statement?

I have an elaborate setup and one of my scenes controls a waterfall. The waterfall is programmed to turn on every evening at sunset and off at 9:30 pm. This program works well. But every morning the waterfall turns on for about an hour. I'm sure that I wrote a program for that at one time because it fits into my personal schedure of when I would see it. However, I can't find the program that controls the morning waterfall. Is there a search function that would call up all programs that a device is controlled with?

I have these errors in my error log. I looked up the error code but couldn't find this exact one. The closest code I can find is What does this mean?

For me: POST OF THE YEAR!! This should be a sticky! Thanks so much!!
-
I'm sorry. Now I understand! Thanks!

I understand what you are saying but I think my problem is a little different. The Morninlinc device can control the lock when I push the set button momentarily. The status LED changes and the lock responds. When I try to control the Morninglinc from my control panel, however, nothing on the Morninglinc responds. Now when I query the device, nothing happens. Therefore, I believe the lock responds properly to the Morninglinc, but the Morninglinc doesn't respond to the ISY.
-
No because I wanted to "clean" out any defective existing links. Was that wrong?
-
I have a Morninglinc and it was working fine until about a few weeks ago when I changed out my PLM. I think I followed the correct procedure when I replaced the PLM and everything else works on my network. This morning, I tried removing the existing Morninglinc and then added it back in. The Admin panel found the new device but even after that, it still won't work. It controls the lock if I use the button on the Morninlinc but doesn't recieve commands from the ISY. If I query it, I get a normal response. Restoring Device appears to work too but again, no change in status when commanded from the Admin panel. Any thoughts?

Release 3.1.2 (Beta) Is Now Available
mitch236 replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Michel, You were right on. There were green 0101 icons for my motion sensors. Once I wrote the updates, all was well. I did replace the PLM using Restore Modem so that wasn't the cause. I realized something. My setup is so complex at this point with so many programs that I realized I shouldn't use Beta firmware. My setup was rock solid on 3.1.0 and I should have been satisfied. -
Release 3.1.2 (Beta) Is Now Available

I've never had a problem upgrading before so I wanted to post this. Last night, I upgraded from 3.1.0 to 3.1.3 and one of my Scenes started turning on and off like a light show! So I downgraded back to 3.1.0 and now I am getting Java Socket errors. I made two mistakes and will admit them here to help you figure out how to correct this mess. First, I forgot to clean the Java cache (I did it after I realized my mistake) Second, after downgrading back to 3.1.0, I forgot to restore from my backup. Third, I swaped out my PLM during all of this because I though it was going bad. I finally got everything working but still occaisionally get a Java error. Is there a way to completely restore my entire system back to where I was before last night? -
I have the Simplehomenet 2412S running my home network and no issues whatsoever. I also have the 2413S at my house but am testing the 2412S so it is unused currently. Both seem to work well (I can't tell any difference and I have about 80 devices, although less than 40 Scenes). I will probably switch back to the 2413S for the RF but either PLM would work. I also like using a seperate power supply for the ISY so I can have a UPS powering it which is important in Florida with our regular momentary outages.
-
Michel, I have four of the 2477D's and all are v.38 The attached load is four CFL's so I'm sure that's where the issue is. I'll move the switch and try again. Thanks!

I read that if I want multiple Morning Industry locks that the RF device will unlock all the locks it can communicate with. I would like to have control over each individual lock. If I buy a Morninglinc RF device with each MI lock, can I control each lock individually through the ISY?
-
I have four Venstar 1700's and the one in the master bedroom is constantly listed in the log with -1 errors meaning there is a com error. I have a 2477D less than 10 feet away. Does this mean the 2477D is defective? The thermostat works well and the programming I set up runs without any noticable problems but I don't like errors. I hoping there's a way to verify the switch is defective. I want SM to swap it out (which they probably would do anyway), but I don't want to have my electrician swap out the switch and find the errors don't go away. TIA, Mitch

That's what I tried initially. I don't know if the On command was too short but it didn't work. That's why I had to create the scene. Thanks though. It's all working like a charm!!!
-
That worked perfectly. I tried putting the KPL button alone in a scene but it wouldn't show up in the programming section until I added another device that could be controlled. This is how it ended up: I had to put the gate sensor along with the KPL button into the scene for this to work.
-
I would like to use one of the KPL buttons to open my gate. I use a IOLink to open the gate by using this program: I tried to have the KPL button run the above program, which I've been able to do using this: But this is a flawed program because the KPL toggles. I've tried to make it Non-toggle (both on and off) but the program doesn't run. What I would like to write would be this: Is there a way to have the KPL turn off at some time interval after turning it on?
-
Awesome! Thanks so much!
-
I realized one problem. I removed the Else statement from both programs. That was duplicative. So please ignore the Else statemtents in the above programs! Thanks!
