I have been trying to resolve the issue all week i have 1 living room wall with 8 outlets on one breaker. there is an outletlinc on that wall that works fine with the isy in my dinning room. i moved the isy to the living room wall same breaker as the outletlinc and lose 80% of my system. i have unplugged everything on that breaker. and still cannot get it to work. I have checked all the electrical connections in each box and at the breaker, swapped out the breaker and still won't work. move the isy back to the dinning room and everything works perfect. so my only option is to pull a network cable back to the dinning room. since 50ft is max would i be better building a cable 37ft thats needed or just purchase a 50?

Love the changes, but i leave admin console open with the event viewer open, and after 1hr or 2 the event veiwer won't show anything anymore closed the event viewer and reopened and nothing have to shut down the admin console and reopen. I used to leave it open all day so i could check the viewer while troubleshooting. -
I origanally installed every thing in my dinning room and everything works perfect. I bought the ir model to use with my harmony remote in the living room. So i finnally pulled a network cable into the living room and moved everything last night. Then most devices quit responding, I built the living room so i know whats on each circuit and i remove everything from the circuit i had the db plm plugged in and still nothing worked right. so i moved it back to where it was and everything works perfect again. So my question is can i run another cable to the living room and put the isy in there and run the cable back to the dinning room for the db plm? it about a 50ft run. and is the cable a regular cat 5? Thanks Jay

Release 2.8.7 (RC3) Is Now Available
jaycanter replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
I upgraded this morning and everythings working except my brultech which says read acknowledge failed since the upgrade. i recheck the setting and all the other brultech software still works -
If i leave the admin console & event viewer open for more than 5 to 10 min everything quits updating. does not show any traffic if i try to query nothing happens but i can control everything. if i close it and reopen it is running thru the query and everything shows up for another 5 to 10 mins

Hi Micheal, All the ms are using programs to control i have 3 differant programs to turn on at differant levels then they go to 1 else program for shut down. it does not update the program but update the else program. In the event veiwer i see the motion activity. heres the example this is the folder if surise + 1 minute to sunset-1 minute (same day) program content if control bathroom/bathroom ms is switched then set bathroom/bathroom 50% run program bathroom else (else path)
-
It also installed great seemed much faster. then i noticed the bathroom ms not turning on the lights. checked the battery and the signal was showing up in the isy but not turning on the lights. checked the 3 other ms and they would not turn on the lights. (they have worked flawlessly for several months) so i reinstalled 2.8.4 and everything worked again all night with no problems. I only got to use 2.8.5 for a couple of hrs but in the event viewer it would show the ms signal and the switch but no light turned on. also plm/info would not show. I am running the dual band plm.
-
I just made a motion battery scene and added to low battery 1 and it went back to off for the status of the battery, then removed from the scene and alls good
-
So i have no options but to remove & replace to get rid of it?

That's what i did but it is still showing on so i tried another battery and still shows on.
-
I had 1 of my md send out a low battery signal and replaced the battery and can not get the current state from on back to off, how do i do that. also how do you replace a switch? i have changed out several switches with new 1s and i have to delete the old switch then install the new 1. the reprogram every program that it is in. Is there a easier way? Thanks Jay
-
Found the problem the brultech had the same ip address as the isy even thought the isy was set for automatic dhcp i changed the address with ether config and it's been perfect this morning it's weird that the problems showed on 1 computer and not both. Thanks for the help Jay
-
I have windows vista 32 bit service pack 2 i don't have any virus protection and the only firewall is the windows program just checked the firewall and the java is checked the same as java and my brultech i have been using tjis computer for the 2 months that i have had the isy with no problems. it worked yesterday morning then a few hrs later the problems started i believe it's 32 bit java it just says version 1.6 and it's been on the desktop for a couple of months. thinking something went wrong in it i uninstalled and reinstalled but no change
-
got no lights blinking and for the last hr have had no problems with the laptop but still same errors from my desktop i reset the isy
-
just looked at my program summary and a lot of them say not loaded under activity and out of memory under status.
-
well i can't get the desktop to work still same problem i started using the laptop to do some changes and it was running very slow with errors of IO error:proxy device so i don't know what to think
-
well after about 10 to 15 mins it showed an adrress i double clicked it the admin panel opened and the same errors started popping up. i did get to login with my laptor but couldn't get anything to do anything it just sits there but from my destop i don't even get the login just errors once the window opens i also uninstalled java and reinstalled no difference
-
All it did was bring up isy finder box with cancel, add, remove. & refresh buttons and they don't do anything
-
When i go in from icon in the network connections, or typing the address, or from isy's web page, or the links i found in the forums it opens a browers as usual but just hangs and comes back with xlm parse error http://192.168.1.102/desc then i click ok then error socket open failed java.net.sockettimeoutexception comes up i hit ok and it keeps going thru this cycle i reset the isy and cleared the java and rebooted the computer. i am stuck. Thanks Jay
