  1. I believe that would require Alexa SDK to support push notifications (server generated notification) and I think the issue at the time is both privacy and annoyance. Imagine having Echo start blurting out unrequested strings or having someone poke your Echo and listen into your environment. That said.. my understanding is this is still a consideration with Amazon... Jon...
  2. If I were you I'd open up the fixture and see how it's connected there. Likely the red wire being fed from the 4 gang box is going to be connected to either the white or black wire being fed to the other switch and the red wire from this switch is going to the light. You're going to end up with one of the Switchlinc's connected to the load while the other is going to be "virtual." Looks to me like you could wire it either way. Pictures would help but I'd also draw out the circuit and test using a voltmeter. Jon...

    all on event

"ALL ON" refers to everything turning on not just one scene. being that the scene seems to be tied to the motion sensor likely it was set off by that. You can look in your logs to see the events, what triggered it and the time. Jon...
  10. Seems to me what Insteon has going for it is the dual-band technology and ISY I'd like to see some stats on growth of the HA market with Insteon / Z-Wave / Zigbee and other in relation. In my brief exposure with HA I've seen the Z-Wave Alliance grow from what I remember as just a few vendors to many. Jon...

    cannot write

I had a problem linking one Remotelinc, tried every spot inside and out and finally tried holding it against a dual-band switch heads down and it succeeded. Jon...
  14. Are you using an "Integer" or "State" variable? Integer will not trigger program. You can test by simply changing variable manually. I'd first get the program working correctly then set-up for gmail. Jon...
  15. My understanding is of "Responding" is that it's used to check communication with devices. To make certain you have full functionality in your UI check your firmware version and the UI version ( Help > About .) They should be the same. Here's a program I wrote using firmware version 5.0.2 and it does have ON / OFF Lamplinc - [ID 00D2][Parent 00CC] If From Sunset - 20 minutes To 11:00:00PM (same day) Then Set 'Media Room Lamplinc' On Else Set 'Media Room Lamplinc' Off If you right click on the program name you can select "Copy to Clipboard" the paste into the message. Jon...

    Restore

Whatever was changed during the update and for whatever reason if you want to work on this before support can with you then you need to get it visible on the network. I suspect the Cisco has an internal switch with a number of ports you could use to plug directly into? I would attempt that to see if it's visible to the Cisco router. Edit.. maintain the DHCP setting for ISY. Jon...

    Restore

You might set it for DHCP and see what happens.. from manual... Requesting a DHCP Assigned IP Address When prompted for IP Address, enter 0.0.0.0 When prompted for NetMask, ignore When prompted for Gateway, ignore When prompted for DNS Server, ignore When prompted with Save Changes, enter Y. The system will reboot and attempt to get DHCP assigned TCP/IP information upon system start. Edit: Have you tried plugging directly into the modem? Jon...
