  1. Hi killervette, You should not see 10.03, the motion sensor is 10.01. Are you certain you cleared the Java cache? Which OS are you using? ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Clearing_Your_Java_Cache Rand
  2. i don't recall it being that complicated before. I guess i missed a number or steps. Please notice this is a Beta release. The AutoUpdate for the next official release should work as usual (or we will fire the programmers!) Rand
  3. Does your phone save your log-in?
  4. Hi Alberto, I think you have it! A few small changes are noted below. This should work if the ISY is rebooted. You don't need anything in the Else section here. That program already will run on it's own. Next You don't need a Wait when you set the hours. Example: If From 6:00:00AM To 1:00:00PM (same day) And Program 'Pool off' is False Then Set 'Pool Pump' On Else Set 'Pool Pump' Off The program has not been saved. Use the Save Programs at the lower left of the Program Details panel. ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Manage_Program This should work. Are you sure you are hitting FastOn? Rand
  5. Personally, I would make one program to turn the pump On and another to turn it Off. Then if the ISY reboots for any reason the pump should still turn off. How do you turn it off when you need quiet? You could use that as a trigger and then Wait 1 hour (or whatever) and then turn the pump back on. That would be a good use of the From - To schedule option as you could limit it to 6AM to 1PM. Rand

    Ghost scene

Apparently the Responders still have links to the Controller. Even if the controller does not have links to the responders as long as it sends a group broadcast the responders will respond. Create a new scene with the controller and responders. Then Delete that scene. How to Remove a link not recognized by ISY This is probably because you selected Keep Existing Links when you added the devices. Rand
  7. Hi Teken, The light bulb with blue text means the device is only a responder. The KPL icon with red text means the device is a controller. Rand
  8. If you create a scene with that (those) devices with a long ramp rate the ramp rate will be effective in both On and Off commands. I use 8-9 minutes for sun position changes and 75-85% brightness. Incandescents last 5X+ longer. Following that you really want the local level <90, ramp rate >0.2. Fast On will override that, but the slower local rate will definitely extend bulb life (and it is a pleasant effect). I suggest two or more programs. One to turn the lights on; same time every night. Another to turn them off. I use later times on weekends than on schoolnights. That will leave your options open if you decide to add more conditions. Rand
  9. Hi guys, Devices to be replaced have to be comparable or they will not be displayed on the drop-down. Controller/Responder, Dimmer/Switch, etc. Brian, SwitchLincs are comparable to the Icons, but ramp rates cannot be guaranteed to work on Icons; we have seen too many variations. ELA, Running the Scene Test sends an Off to the scene. If you send an On or hold the Brighten button do the lights all turn on? Fast On/Off? Rand
  10. Hi ELA, If you used the Replace With ... function the switch should work correctly. Are there any green 11010 arrows pointing to any devices? The only way to change the version is to remove and re-add the switch. Do you have a backup from before you called the Replace function? If the new switch has new features (Beep) then you will not have access to those features while at v.00. Everything else should work (unless it is a v.35). Rand
  11. No, the Venstar Program modes can only be set at the thermostat. Scenes can be created and KPL buttons (or any Insteon controller) can be included as controllers. An Away button could be used to set the thermostat to Program mode if desired, then the ISY wouldn't be necessary. Rand

    2420M help

Hi GregE, I have seen Motion Sensors act according to your description (always ON). I have found that disconnecting the power for some time, 5 minutes or more, usually corrects that. Be aware that the power has to be connected again for at least 5 minutes before you will see reliable communications. If that doesn't work you may have to ask Smarthome for a replacement. The good news is that I haven't heard about many bad motion sensors so hopefully this is a one-off. Rand
  13. Hi Avonlea22, Glad to read you updated the ISY. AFAIK the only way to test the custom notification is to use it in a program and run the program. Right-click the program and Run (Then). Rand
  14. Hello jp5150, Are you having any other issues accessing the KPL? Would you please try this link to the ISY: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/admin.jnlp Rand
  15. Thank you very much dnl. Rand
  16. It makes sense that a 6-button with a local load (big On/Off buttons) works this way. It's great that there is an option to change the KPL to/from 8/6. You will need to remove the KPL from the ISY, change the setting, and add it back. Meanwhile you could use an ISY Program to watch for a button press and respond with a scene On.
  17. Hi mikewu99, There are 6 and 8 button KPLs; 5 and 8 scenes. You can set the KPL to 8 button mode to have more than 5 scenes. See the KPL FAQ: ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Linking_a_KeypadLinc#Other_Uses Rand
  18. Hi reakhavok, If you are sure it is the one switch I suggest trying a factory reset on that switch. If it still causes interference to your system I can only suggest replacing the device. Sometimes when devices do not work correctly they can spew noise and that is what this seems like. Rand
  19. Hi jtara92101, I did some experiments today. Apparently when a change is made to a setpoint, whether Heat, Cool, Auto, that change carries into Auto as well as Program Auto. A change made in Auto carries over to Heat, Cool, Program Auto. Changes made in Program Auto carry over to Heat, Cool, Auto. You are correct that Program Auto when called from an Insteon device does not use the stored settings for the time period if any changes have been made in any of the other modes. I don't think there is any way for the ISY to change that behavior. Other than to set the scene to Auto Program with the Heat and Cool points you desire depending on the time (as you mentioned). Feature or Bug? Rand
  20. Hi jtara92101, I'm not sure I understand the issue you see. One thing I know about the thermostats is that sending it commands too quickly seem to confuse the device. I have found the best way to change many settings is to create scenes for the thermostat and call the scenes On. Rand
  21. If you are calling two scenes you should add a Wait between them. It may be the ISY is sending a new scene command before the first finishes being repeated. Why not add your morning devices to the evening scene? Or make another scene. Using a Repeat makes the programming a bit easier. Rand
  22. I have added it to the Wiki. ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Linking_an_IRLinc_Transmitter Thanks for confirming that Chris. Rand
  23. Hi cgritt, I believe the buttons have to be in a scene and then the scene can be controlled. Rand
  24. If you want to go the extra step you could connect the device to an extension cord and try it in different outlets. I doubt if Smarthome will ask you to do that. Rand
  25. Hello mmknox, First I would suggest one scene with all 4 devices. A Repeat can't hurt. If Time is Sunset Then Repeat 3 times Set Scene 'Outside Lights / OL Evening' On Wait 20 seconds Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Schedule migrated from previous version. The Wait should be ~2 seconds per device or greater. Rand
