  1. HI. I'm planning migration from ISY994 to eISY. I use eKeypad Pro extensively. Wondering if their will be challenges. Thanks.
  2. Thanks, Javi. Can you tell me if that is configurable? That is; can I change it to port 80?
  3. I have a number of home-brew IoT devices that send and receive state variables to/from my ISY994. I'm considering upgrading to eISY and wanting to know if there is any difference in the REST API behavior. Thanks.
  4. Just posting this to share information... I couldn't find a list of parameters and values for my RCS TZ45 but I did find a list for the TBZ500. I've tried setting many of the TBZ500 parameters on my TZ45 and they are the same. List is here: https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/3898/configs
  5. Thanks, Javi. I’ll explore that as well.
  6. Thanks again. You've been very helpful. I'll be exploring more deeply the polyglot link that you sent earlier in the thread. As an aside, do you know if EISY has a way to support infrared? I use that in one of my installations.
  7. got it. One more question came to mind... the ELK module permits control of things like Elk outputs via the ISY but UD Mobile does not see those outputs. With EISY and the Elk node server, how do things like outputs appear in UD Mobile?
  8. Thanks Geddy & DennisC for your thoughtful comments. I'm not educated on Node Servers. Are they cloud provided or can they run locally on an EISY (like the Elk module runs on the 994). Thanks again!
  9. Thanks, Javi. Will do. I just was hoping I might be able to avoid that.
  10. Thanks for your reply, Dennis. I'm referring to the project UD (Javi) has called "faux node server" - I believe they use "faux" to indicate that it's designed to run on ISY. That said, do you have Elk node server running on an ISY?
  11. Hi. I have two homes with ISY994i/IR Pro 5.3.4 and ELK M1G. I currently use eKeypad Pro and have been playing with UD Mobile. I like the UI in UD Mobile but, I need access to the ELK module for it to be functional for me. I have extensive integration between ISY and ELK with programs, tasks, outputs and am very interested in the status of development of the faux Elk Node server for ISY so that I can use UD Mobile. I do not want to migrate these homes to another hardware platform. Thanks.
  12. i would like an answer to yoir queation too. I have Trane RCS45 T-stats in two homes that behave the same. i can control them but cant get status. UD Mobile shows the same error you posted and in the admin console, the query fails and the level 3 trace shows tx & rx events working for quite a few exchanges then the acks stop and the ISY retries until it fails .. you might want to look at your level 3 event viewer to see if the same is happening.
  13. UPDATE: I was able to get the Aeotec Smart Switch 7 to include via NWI (yay). It worked after adding an Aeotec Range Extender 7 to the network. DETAILS: The original network where NWI didn't work (even though the thermostat located next to the RE6 is working fine routed via the RE6): ISY----30'+3walls----Range Extender 6----15'+0walls----Smart Switch 7(NWI failed to even start) ---- 4'+0walls----Trane TZ45 T-stat(working fine but, was not included via NWI) =================================================================== The network where NWI worked: ISY---35'+2walls----Range Extender 7----25'+1wall-----Smart Switch 7(NWI worked fine) ISY----30'+3walls----Range Extender 6 ---- 4'+0walls----Trane TZ45 T-stat(working fine but, was not included via NWI) =================================================================== CONCLUSION: Once the RE7 was in the network, the SS7 immediately started the NWI include process. It appears to me from the results of this testing that even though the technician at Aeotec told me that the RE6 supports NWI, it apparently does not. NOTE: I didn't try NWE because the Aeotec technician told me that neither the RE6 nor RE7 support NWE My thanks to lilyoyo1, Techman, gzahar and PatPend for contributing to my learning.
  14. Update - I was able to include an Aeotec Smart Switch 7 and it does show in the ISY as secure=0. So maybe even though the doc that Minoston provided to Zwave Alliance indicates that it supports S0, the fact is that it doesn't? Interesting.
  15. thanks, lilyoyo1. Per the alliance doc below, the Minoston switch supports S0. Shouldn't it include as secure=S0? The switch is direct to the ISY - no repeater in the route. I do know that my ISY supports S0. I have a Kwikset lock that comes up as secure=S0
  16. The zwave info in event viewer (below) indicates that the switch has the Secutity_2 command class and that security=None. The Minoston doc indicates S2 support but, has no reference as to how to include securely so I'm assuming like Aeotec, if the controller is set for secure add, it will add secure. I do have the 994i set to "allow secure devices to be added". I currently have two thermostats that don't support secure, one Aeotec range Extender 6 (which also shows secure=None) and this Minoston switch. Please note that the Minoston switch is 5 feet from the ISY and is direct to the ISY in the 994's zwave routing table. Questions: 1) Am I reading the event viewer info correctly? does security=None mean the device wasn't added with security? 2) If I am reading it correctly, why didn't it add securely? (said as I scratch my head) 3) Is my assumption that the switch will add securely without any button presses on the switch correct? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
  17. yep. thanks. I've been reading. Just hopeful that someone might be able to short cut my reading with some nuggets in my context
  18. I don't quite understand that generalization. I'm a 40-yr EE and software engineer - if you or anyone want to talk deeper level of detail as to the mechanics of why my setup is causing the failure I'd really welcome that. I'm afraid I'm failing to grasp why when the extender is apparently working flawlessly routing data that NWi is not working, Thanks!
  19. Hi PatPend Yeah, I'm aware of that. The devices I'm concerned with re: NWI and NWE are the Aeotec Range Extenders 6 & 7 as well as the Aeotec Smart Switch 7. What Aeotec has told me is that they all support NWI but, none support NWE. The scenario I have is that my ISY994 (5.3.4) with 500 zwave module(6.88) is 30 feet and two walls from the range extender. The thermostat is 5 feet from the Range extender and it's route through the extender is working fine. The aeotec Smart Switch is 15 feet from the range extender. The issue is that although the thermostat is working fine routed through the extender, NWI isn't working from the smart switch through the range extender to the 994. Thanks!
  20. As an FYI - Aeotec told me that both the Range Extender 6 and 7 support NWI but neither one supports NWE. The technician couldn't tell me why but, it's good to be aware.
  21. got it. I missed the tips and tricks though. Can you give me a link? Thanks again.
  22. Hi lilyoyo1 Can you tell me if NWI behaves differently from normal control transmissions? I ask because the switch and thermostat that communicate through the Range Extender are working fine. Thanks!
