I got it to connect bringing it closer to the ISY with my setup cord but it was still acting weird once I put it in it's location so I took it out and moved another switch that was already on my system to that location. I'm going to return this one to Amazon as defective and get a replacement and try again.

Love my Wago's!!! This switch doesn't have any pigtails so I will connect right to it.

Made me a cord so I could add it to my network closer to the ISY and easily.

I can give that a try but probably not until this Sunday. Need to load up a trailer and take my daughter's stuff for her apt to her.

Firmware and UI are the same version. Yes other Zwave devices. I'm trying to install another switch like one that I already have. That switch is about 5 feet away. The ISY is in the basement.

So did the update but still not able to add my zwave switch. 😪

I have 6.82.01 so I will do the upgrade tonight and see if that helps. Figured I'm better to do it at home than remotely. Thanks

Hey all, Like the title says I am trying to add a zwave switch to my ISY994. It's running v5.3.1 and I have the zwave module. I had an Insteon on off switch stop working so wanted to replace it with a zwave. I've tried the Enbrighten and the Zooz 700 switch and can't get the ISY to recognize either. I have the same Zooz switch in the same bathroom running some lights by my mirrors so I expected it to not have any issues. I've tried excluding it first and am at a loss of what else to try. So when I click add a zwave device, I get the device discovery window and also a window showing the IoX Finder which is kind of weird I thought. I press on the switch like the instructions say but nothing ever finds my switch. I even tried it using UD Mobile on my phone but also no luck. I've even thought about moving to Eisy but UD shows it out of stock. Any suggestions? Thanks Greg

Z-Wave||Advanced||Z-Wave Version. I was also asking because there is no version on my screen but I think that's because I am only at ISY version 4.8 right now.

Was looking to upgrade my version 4.8 ISY994i and was following the list and it said to make sure your z-wave firmware was at 4.55 but when I look at mine I see this. Did I miss a step when I installed it? Only z-wave device installed in my network is a repeater currently so no big deal whatever I need to do. I got it so I could install a z-wave switch on my water heater since Insteon got rid of theirs but haven't gotten to it yet. Edit: Did some more reading. Could this be because I have a new z-wave module so it's a 500 series but my ISY is only on version 4.8? If so, should I remove the card, do the upgrade, and then install the card?

Hey all, My Google Home is all set up and working but I would like to add an additional spoken to one of my devices. I know where to add it in the ISY Portal but how do I get my Google Home to see it? Looked but didn't see anything to update my devices. Thanks Greg

Bingo. I was still using my admin signin and not my portal email and password. Just tried it with those and it worked fine. Thanks a bunch. Greg

Hey all, I use the ISY Portal at home since I have Google Home. I tried to use my admin console from my work and I cannot get logged in. I've also tried the ISY Launcher to get the the admin console. Either way, after entering my credentials, I get a "Failed. Retry Authenticating My Lighting". I have also recently changed my wifi at home to Plume so it is a mesh system. Do I need to do port forwarding on my new system? I was thinking with ISY Portal I didn't need port forwarding. I can access my system remotely with MobiLinc Pro on my phone so not sure what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Greg

I removed the in line linc to the motion light and replaced it with a standard motion light not connected to my Insteon. Also noticed a switch in the basement not talking to the system so I replaced it too. I don't notice that light coming on anymore so doing 1 of those or both must have fixed it. Thanks

Only program the light is in is one I created so I could have it turn off automatically to try and keep it off. Not in any scenes and only the one light. Now I'm noticing my motion light in the back going on and off in succession but it doesn't use an external motion sensor. Did some searching to figure out that light and I think it's a regular motion sensor flood light and I added an In Line Linc to it. Maybe that is going bad. Greg

Hey all, Been having an issue and I can't figure out why so thought I would ask here. I have Insteon switches and outlets at my lake house. I also have some cameras and I've noticed at night, a light in my kitchen on. I can tell because I can see the light in the window of a camera near the kitchen. I can't figure out how that light is turning on. I don't have any programs that I can find doing it so not sure where to go from here. I've looked at the log on my ISY994 but it doesn't say it is turning on either and if I look at the admin console, the light doesn't say it is on. Does anybody have an idea of what is going on or what I can do to stop it? Currently I've created a program to run to turn it back off around when I think it has been on but I would love to just stop it. Thanks Greg

Thanks all. I went with the ISY Portal and I've got it all set up and running. Love telling Google Home to turn lights on and off.

I just purchased the ISY Portal since I have a Google Home. Before I used port forwarding and had a dynamic DNS so I could access my home and lake house using the Java Admin Console. Now with ISY Portal I won't need the port forwarding and I won't use the admin console when away from my home, correct? If I want to control a light remotely I would just log into the ISY Portal and do it from there? This is only for my main house since I didn't buy the ISY Portal or a Google Home for my lake house. I just noticed that there is a way to connect with Universal Devices and also with Mobilinc. I don't need both for Google Home, right? I do use Mobilinc on my Galaxy S7 Edge to control my ISY. That all stays the same. If I choose between them for Google Home, is one better than the other? Thanks

I won a Google Home and it should be arriving soon. If I want to be able to control my Insteon lights through my ISY I will need to get the ISY Portal, correct? I don't currently have that module. Is the ISY Portal good for anything else? Thanks

Just saw the new motion sensor on the Smarthome website and was going to get one. But after coming here I think I will wait. Not sure my original MS is working. I use it outside on my driveway (it's pretty long) to detect motion and turn on some spotlights as I approach the house. The spotlights also have a motion sensor. It extends the range of them that way. Even thought it is rated for outside I do tend to have ants in it when I replace the battery. Learned that the hard way the first time I opened inside my house to change the battery. I guess I'll wait to know my ISY994 is ready for it.

Hey all, I would like to create a program with my ISY to control the thermostat when I am at my lake house. Currently I just control it manually and set it back when we are gone. I can access it from my phone to bring it to a good temp before we arrive. While we are there I would like to not have to manually change it at night and in the morning. I guess all I really need is a day and night setting. Are there any examples out there? I saw the example in the wiki for the office program but didn't know if somebody had a version for a home. Thanks
