  1. I won a Google Home and it should be arriving soon. If I want to be able to control my Insteon lights through my ISY I will need to get the ISY Portal, correct? I don't currently have that module. Is the ISY Portal good for anything else? Thanks
  2. Just saw the new motion sensor on the Smarthome website and was going to get one. But after coming here I think I will wait. Not sure my original MS is working. I use it outside on my driveway (it's pretty long) to detect motion and turn on some spotlights as I approach the house. The spotlights also have a motion sensor. It extends the range of them that way. Even thought it is rated for outside I do tend to have ants in it when I replace the battery. Learned that the hard way the first time I opened inside my house to change the battery. I guess I'll wait to know my ISY994 is ready for it.

Yeah after I submitted it I realized I hadn't included the button in the if section. Thanks for the help

I have a 6 button keypadlinc and use 1 button to say if I am there or away. Do you just have a simple programs like this? Day Heat Program If On Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri From 9:00:00AM To 5:00:00PM (same day) Then Set 'FirstFloorThermo' 68° (Heat Setpoint) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Night Heat Program If On Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri From 5:01:00PM To 8:59:00AM (next day) Then Set 'FirstFloorThermo' 64° (Heat Setpoint) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Hey all, I would like to create a program with my ISY to control the thermostat when I am at my lake house. Currently I just control it manually and set it back when we are gone. I can access it from my phone to bring it to a good temp before we arrive. While we are there I would like to not have to manually change it at night and in the morning. I guess all I really need is a day and night setting. Are there any examples out there? I saw the example in the wiki for the office program but didn't know if somebody had a version for a home. Thanks

Thanks for the great info Lee. I created the scene and had already used my ISY to turned off my water heater that a 2477SA1 controls.

I have an 8 button KPL at my front door at my lake house. I use button B as a way to tell my ISY if I am there or not. When I leave I usually turn on button B but when I left yesterday I forgot to. Is there a way from the admin console to turn it on? When I look at it from the main tab I see the current state of off but don't see a way to turn it on. Thanks
  8. Michel, Locally I can access using https but if I try it remotely with DDNS set up I now get these errors. I tried it from both a Mac and a PC just in case it was a Mac only problem but both give the same results. Any ideas?
  9. How should I access my ISY remotely now? When I try it the way I used to I get a XML parse error and a socket open failed. The way I used to do it was https://myDNSname:443 Thanks
  10. I have a 2477SA1 and have been waiting all day for this to show up so in my book it is not a minor release. Thanks Michel
  11. Thanks guys!! I hooked it up and the LED's were off. I then did a factory reset by pulling out the airgap and then pushing it in for 10 seconds. THat got the LED's working again. I tried doing that while installed but never could get the long tone to sound so I knew I really hadn't done it. Glad that took care of things and I don't have to send it back.
  12. I checked my connections and tried resetting it but no luck. I had another one so I replaced it and the LED's are all working fine now. I brought the other one to work with me. Can I take a power cable and connect it to the switch with the load wire capped off and see if the LED's work? I thought that I shoudl test it again before seeing if it is still in warranty.
  13. I can do that but it is powering the lights so I would think it has power.
  14. I went ahead and posted on Smarthome too.
  15. I just installed a dual band switchlinc and a switchlinc relay to control some lights and a exhaust fan in my bathroom. I turned off the breaker and did the install. When I turned the breaker back on these 2 worked fine but I noticed another switchlinc dimmer in the bathroom in a separate location no longer had the led indicators lighting. Any ideas what caused this or if I can fix it? It only wanted to go on and off if I double tapped it until I did a restore device in my ISY? Let me know if I should put this on the Smarthome forum. After I typed it I just realized I was on the ISY forum but I know there are lots of the same people on both of them.
  16. Brookpbhx, Did you find out anything from Smarthome on this? I'm having the same issue. Greg

Michel So are you saying to not return it that you guys might have a work around with an update to the ISY firmware? Greg
  18. GregE replied to GregE's topic in ISY994
Michel's suggestion didn't help. I was at my lake house and had already left to come home before seeing your last suggestion Lee. I disconnected it and brought it with me so I guess I will contact Smarthome and see if they are doing anything to fix it. I am connecting it to my water heater so it doesn't run when I am away from the lake house. Using the NC version shouldn't be a problem for me. Thanks for the help and suggestions. If you hear anything else, let me know.
  19. GregE replied to GregE's topic in ISY994
is this only a 2477SA1 problem or is it happening on the 2477SA2 also? I could always switch to that one if Smarthome will do it.
  20. GregE replied to GregE's topic in ISY994
Thanks Lee Nope. Can't control it with the ISY. So do I return it or will UD be able to come up with a fix on the ISY?

Thanks Lee. I thought the answer would be yes. Your's was above the call with actual programming.
