  1. I tried to duplicate @apostolakislprogram from his initial forum post and it is working for me as he wants it to. I posted that example. I'm using a 2477D SwitchLinc™ Dimmer INSTEON® Dual-Band Remote Control Dimmer, V.41. In other words, if the light is OFF and you push OFF it goes ON to 25%. If the light is ON at any percentage and you press OFF it goes OFF. My System version: Version 3.0.59 Status: Connected Frontend Version: 3.0.59 ISY Version: 5.4.3 PLM: 2413S Revision 2.4 0318 I hope this helps, unless this troubleshoot has morphed into some other problem.
  2. As shown in your example, did you get the Notification?
  3. How did the FanLinc handle fan speed? Perhaps, set pull chain for high speed and then slow it down with FanLinc. If so, did you notice any adverse noise from the fan like excessive humming? I'm very sensitive to fans humming. For some reason more than most people and it drives me nuts. I've taken back to the store more noisy fans than I can count.
  4. @hart2hartI see where the Bond Bridge says it supports IR remotes. Being that’s line of sight does the bridge have an IR blaster built in? So that wouldn’t work house wide only for that room.
  5. @hart2hart Just so I've got this right. The Bond Bridge would learn the Hunter's remote control by capturing the codes sent over 434Mhz. I could then control the fan via my iPhone using the Bond App thru the Bridge. I could also control the fan with Polisy IoP by using the Bond PG3 Node Server (Isee there is one in the Store). My Hunter Fan is the Apache Model 59226. The WiFi component is what's buggy but the Remote has always functioned, so far. So, I can see where using the Bond Bridge could be reliable over 434 MHz.
  6. I'm not certain about this Bond compatibility of my Hunter Fan. The remote is labeled P/N:K5579-02, FCC ID:IN2TX50, ID FCC:IN2TX50, IC:3558A-TX50, Freq:434Mhz. I'm looking around on the Bond website but can't locate any list. It also appears that to learn a remote I would need the Bond Bridge. I've never heard of Bond before and it looks interesting.
  7. thanks. With the Event viewer open and set for Level 3. Select the Z-Wave/Z-Wave Version menu and I find this is shown in the Event viewer Mon 04/25/2022 08:00:35 : [ZWAVE-FW ] Unrecognized Z-Wave firmware version/library [7.15] I've always wondered about that Menu selection because the popup window that is displayed doesn't show the information. Never thought to look in the Event viewer.
  8. Can the ZooZ zst10 700 stick be interrogated thru a terminal session with Polisy to see what version firmware the stick has in it?
  9. I bought a Hunter Fan that is WiFi controlled and it sucks. It uses a cloud service called SimpleConnect and Apple HomeKit. It's always losing connection which in most cases means it has to be reinitialized and that requires removing power from the fan. So, if you can't do something with z-wave think twice about a Hunter.
  10. I have our bathroom light’s On Level set to 25%. So it comes on dim all the time. If you want full brightness you double tap the switch. Been working this way for years. Seems to fit our logic okay. We have several other lights set same way.
  11. Tag type 32, Moisture Sensor has a Wet State parameter which I believe to be driver GV12. This driver only updates on a change so at restart it comes up as WET, whether it is or not. I discovered this when the power on Polisy was cycled, and then the node indicated WET. Well, this kicked off an ISY Program and started up a water pump. Any ideas on how to circumvent this behavior? I prefer it would come up correctly indicating whether it was DRY or WET.

    WiFi Antennas

Ok, thanks. I see Polisy in my network map as a LAN connection which makes sense because it's plugged in. Can't remember if I gave it that name or not, but I don't see any wireless connection. It is reserved in DHCP. I'll try unplugging the network cable and restart Polisy to see if that wakes up the WiFi. Edit: that was a bust. Polisy wouldn't come online without the network cable plugged in. I'm leaving well enough alone. I don't need the WiFi right now anyway. don't want to break anything.
  13. I've never used that style before but it's interesting. I gave it a try and it is working for me in IoP.

    WiFi Antennas

I had looked for it in PG3 but couldn't find anything. What would it show up as in my network map if it was connected to the router? I would think there would be some way to check on it's settings using SSH.

    WiFi Antennas

Where is the setup or configuration for it checked or entered?
  16. ?
  17. @upstatemike just curious why 2.4 GHz is bad. I'm considering ZigBee as an Insteon replacement, that or z-wave.

    WiFi Antennas

Was wondering if it's okay to take off the WiFi antennas on the Polisy Pro? I thought they might be interfering with the Z-Wave dongle and WiFi doesn't work anyway.
  19. I haven't needed a dedicated repeater. Several devices already near the Controller so all is working fine, installations are all unique. The z-wave dongle gets the best range when it's vertical so use a right-angle USB adapter if necessary. Here's what I used: Posdou USB 3.0 Male to Female 90 Degree Right Angle Extension Adapter, USB Upward and Downward Connector
  20. I've added 4 z-wave devices instead of expanding Insteon and they're all at one end of the house where the controller is. So, no problems. I'm not sure I'm set on switching entirely to z-wave yet, still wondering about ZigBee.
  21. I bought mine from The Smartesthouse.com thesmartesthouse
  22. Your assumption looks correct to me, but you never know what evil lurks. Another technique that I use is with 2 programs; one is the trigger and the other the control. The trigger program contains your IF statement and then calls the control program. The control program has no IF statements. In the body it immediately disables the trigger program, does what it needs to and then re-enables the trigger program. I've never had a problem using WAIT in the control program this way. I use this with a WirelessTag moisture sensor to detect a water level and it was notorious with successive false triggers around the event.
  23. Thanks for all the info here. Adding node servers just for an occasional need to write an entry into the ISY Log is a bit overkill. Maybe someday when ISY programming grows up there'll be a function intrinsic to the ISY language to write to the log. For now, I'll just use an Insteon Device, something unused but installed, as a marker, send it a command and find that in the log.
  24. @MrBillI've seen some mention of "Virtual Node Servers" in the forums. I figured you might know what they are. Where is there more information on what and how to do? Perhaps I can do something with that to produce an ISY Log entry from a Program.
  25. @MrBillNot sure what nodelink is. As a workaround I added a command to an unused Insteon or X-10 device and then search for that in the log. At least it helps troubleshooting to see when the program is running and what else is happening at the same time. So, it's good to have it all in the ISY log.
