Thanks, that worked. It took a few times to figure out how to enter the addressing information. Here's what worked for a virtual switch. Actually, the information needed is found in AC not PG3. PG3 doesn't include the n006_ prefix for the addresses but it is required when doing the AC Add node.

When I login to the ISY Portal I'm getting this message from Tiny Cloud. Can't figure out if it's from UDI or the Microsoft Edge browser. I don't have any association with Tiny Cloud products that I'm aware of. Any ideas?

When in the ISY Portal to configure a new switch with Alexa I'm not seeing any of my Virtual switches set up with the Virtual Node server. Will a virtual Switch not work with Alexa or am I missing something?

So when did Michel say this and why didn't he tell me that?

My original topic on this from Nov 14 2021 was never answered and subsequently closed. Today I have an update to say that I was able to create an ISY Network Resource following the Hue Version 2 API using SSL and HTTPS. The difference between then and now is I'm on Polisy with IoT and before I couldn't get a Network Resource using SSL to work on the ISY994i. A few main differences between V1 and V2 are: V2 uses SSL (https) the Path is different; for a light it's: /clip/v2/resource/light/.... the authentication key goes in the header as hue-application-key Go here for more, https://developers.meethue.com/develop/hue-api-v2/

Installing the Leviton ZW4SF-1BW Decora Smart 4 Speed Fan Controller with Z-Wave Technology switch on my patio Montecarlo ceiling fan has made it run smoother and less noisy. This Montecarlo is an outdoor, reversible, 3-speed, pull-chain model that I've had for many, many years. We run it mainly in low speed and it was always making some kind of noise from groaning to shaking. But now, setting it for high speed and using the Leviton for speed control it's running like a smooth top. On low speed you can hardly notice that it's running. I say all this as a recommendation of the Leviton z-wave switch. It installed without a hitch in Polisy IoT with ZooZ stick and has been responding beautifully.

Enbrighten/GE/Jasco 26931 Motion Sensor / Switch Question
vbPhil replied to JTsao's topic in Z-Wave - Series 700
Just a thought, as a test, add something to the else statement. Maybe the notification isn’t working. Not likely but something I would try. -
My hope is that my serial PLM holds out until the PLM Pro comes out.

The software running on Polisy wouldn’t know a zigbee device. It’s only supporting the z-wave ZooZ stick as detailed elsewhere in the forum. You could have an external ZigBee hub and use a Node Server that supported it. I’m not sure what NS currently do that. Some others can answer that question.

I guess it must be a difference between the ZooZ and Enbrighten switches (unless something else is happening). I'm able to select Controller via the button.

EP40 outdoor dual outlet remote switch kind of works
vbPhil replied to TJF1960's topic in Kasa (TP-Link)
I also have the EP40 switch and NS version 3.0.10. I find that after some time passes the status will no longer change when either outlet changes state. If I restart the NS all is fine again. Not sure what else is happening as I just started to take a look at it. I restarted the NS and the status is tracking okay again. I'll look for any clues if/when it acts up again. -phil -
Are you still stuck? I have a GE Enbrighten z-wave dimmer that has about the same nodes as yours. I am able to add the Dimmer Switch node to any of my Insteon scenes as either a controller or responder. I renamed my dimmer switch node, as it was first added, to OR Mesa Main in the snapshot below. I usually delete all those extra nodes for z-wave devices but hadn't done that yet to this one.

Support thread for: ISY on Polisy (IoP) v5.4.4 (May 25, 2022)
vbPhil replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in IoX Support
ditto to that. Mine is in the garage because of optimum location for the Insteon PLM. When Insteon is gone I guess it could be anywhere since it has WiFi. -

vbPhil replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in IoX Support
upgraded to 5.4.4 and PG3 status still shows 5.4.3 for ISY. Issue resolved. Rebooted and ISY version statement is now correct. -

Check the brightness and contrast settings on your monitor. It could be washing out the grey. -

I have an ISY Folder for the Fan object and 2 programs for each virtual speed switch, a get and a set. So for virtual switch FanLow there is a set_fan_low and a get_fan_low program. The set program actually commands the fan speed and the get catches if the fan is controlled from the switch manually and sets the correct virtual switch status. In UD Mobile you see all 4 virtual switches for the fan.

@Goose66is very correct here. I just bought a Bond Bridge and am not very happy with it. But, going into it I wasn't sure how well it would work anyway. I'm most happy with just a pull chain, non-remote fan and a Enlighten z-wave fan switch. This way you get absolute control over the fan and the correct status of the fan in ISY. I had hoped that the Bond Bridge would control a Vornado IR, floor fan but, no. I guess the IR frequency is wrong. It would turn on/off a Dyson IR floor fan but wouldn't control the speeds, rotation or timer. When you "learn" an IR remote with the Bond Bridge it gives you only one toggle button to program. I choose the on/off button so that was all I could do with it. The other hope I had was with my Great Room ceiling fan, a Hunter Apache with SIMPLEConnect WiFi, RF control. The Bond Bridge didn't have the correct FCC ID code for that remote and suggested 2 codes that were close but not exact and only 3 speeds, not 4. Goose66 is right about the fan supporting more functionality than the remote provides but that does you no good if Bond hasn't written a template for that. If you have to "learn" a remote you won't be able to program that additional functionality. So, if your remote only has simple toggle on/off and up/down speeds that's all that Bond will do. The issue with Bond and ISY not in sync is definitely real. If your fan just supports toggle commands the ISY and the fan will never be in sync when you also use the fan remote or WiFi app. Too bad I didn't see Goose66's writeup before my Bond purchase. Could have saved $100.

Here's another use that I just started. My GE Enbrighten z-wave fan switch has 3 speeds and the ISY control only allows for ON percentages, so low =1%, med =53% high= 91%. I created a virtual switch for each speed and a program for each as well. It's especially handy when using UD Mobile as the switch status indicates what speed the fan is at. I arrived at the % by setting the speed at the switch and then checking the status. Also, in the associated program for the virtual it will set the fan ON percentage and turn the other virtuals off. (I just realized that I'm not accounting for the fan switch to be set manually, oh well, more programming required). Hopefully someday the ISY will recognize z-wave devices by model and provide the appropriate controls as it does with Insteon.

@MrBillThanks, I was having the same issue with the AC navigation panel not remembering it's width between sessions. In that Win10 Temp folder I only had these 4 files: udi_frame.state udi_launcher.state udi_pgm.state udi_tree.state I deleted all 4 files while AC was running. After exiting AC, the files were recreated, except for the udi_launcher.state file. When I ran the ISY Launcher it was missing http entry and only had https entry. But, all is well and the AC navigation panel width is now remember across sessions. I was able to readd the http entry at port 8080 in the Launcher and it is also remembered across sessions.

Tuff question. Probably would want Version 2, 700 series z-wave given that's the latest, I assume it still is. So far I've only used GE Enbrighten, which is not 700 series, and think they're pretty good. I like the packaging as it's more like an electrical switch with screw terminals instead of pig tail wires. I want to try Leviton next, but they're not 700 series yet either. I like the looks of their plug-in dimmer, Leviton DZPD3-2BW. Also interested in giving their fan switch a try, Leviton ZW4SF-1BW Decora Smart 4 Speed Fan Controller. I'm still confused about the extra nodes that are created when you add a z-wave device in ISY. You get a lot of extras that aren't usable and I wonder if that's just a shortcoming of ISY or the ZooZ 700 stick hub? The names are related to Scenes so is there a way to link switches together in a scene that doesn't depend on a controller? This is from the GE Enbrighten Fan switch.

I've been adding my own labels and writing my own manual. Resurrecting some of my technical writing skills of a past life.

For some reason they dropped that configuration from PG3, also any of the WiFi settings. It's all secret stuff now.

Where in the instructions do you see that?

I'm not an expert but after I login it displays the dashboard at this url. You might try logging in and then browse to that url. Just a thought. <ip address>:3000/dashboard https://192.168.1.158:3000/dashboard
