I did not know that. Thanks for the correction. That's even better.
-
No not 700. Looks like it's Plus version 2. I may try these myself, way cheaper than Insteon. I can't really tell how big they are. Does it block the 2nd outlet on a receptacle?
-
@TJF1960 I checked with a sample program and I'm finding the same thing. The program continues to run without waiting for the Query to finish.
-
What are you using for leak sensors?
-
Keep in mind about Kasa that is mentioned in NS Readme that the connection to Kasa by the NS could break at anytime. It isn’t really supported by Kasa. This Node server relies on a mostly undocumented and unofficially supported local API which of course TP-Link could break at any time, and has in the past, but luckily others figure it out.
-
@Geddyis it really cloud based? Kasa doesn’t require an internet connection just your local WiFi network. Right?
-
Are they insteon devices? Just enter their address code manually into ISY.

I'm looking at moving from Insteon to Z-Wave or ZigBee and probably get the Hubitat Elevation controller. Polisy IoP is tested with z-wave ZooZ 700 controller stick so that is a safe way to go if you like z-wave. I guess it depends on how big your system is and what you need to do with it. For me it's mainly another hobby to play with, although the convivence of home automation is great.

So for Smart Bulbs I'm using Philips Hue. I bought a Philips Hue Bridge to control the bulbs. But you can also use the Hue Node Server or ISY Network Resources. Currently I'm just using Network Resources to turn Hue scenes on and off. For me, the colored smart bulbs are mainly just for accent lighting. Any real light control done thru ISY, keypads or switches I prefer normal incandescent or LED bulbs.
-
So I have ISY Launcher (Finder) shortcut on my Desktop. You run the Launcher and then choose Admin Console (LAN) and the AC opens up looking just like it did before. Also, the Polyglot Node Servers (PG3) Interface is accessed thru your Web Browser. You'll also need an ISY Portal Account and that is also accessed thru the Web Browser.
-
@Michel KohanimSo I'm just wondering, in IoP are the network resources going to stay "inline" or will you change it to how the ISY performed?
-
The links between the switch and the PLM are working, i.e. if you took away the ISY those operations would still work? It's just the operations where the ISY has to interpret. Maybe something like the ISY Link table or some other information the ISY is responsible for that came over from the restore.
-
I assume when you moved over to the IoP you did a restore from the 994i backup, maybe something went amiss during that operation. As a test, what I would try next is to de-link and delete one of your 2477D switches and then reinstall it creating all the links anew.
-
@apostolakislOkay I see. So, the program is working for me and the IoP is correctly showing the status for whatever I do locally at the paddle and the switch is a 2477D. This is what we called in Aerospace manufacturing a CND. Can Not Duplicate. They are always the hardest troubleshoots and nothing gets shipped until it's resolved for the root cause. If there's anything else you'd like me to check you can PM me and I'll take a look.

So your fans had RF remotes that the Bond could learn or already knew about? I'm this close to buying the Bond but I've only got 1 fan out of 5 that have a remote. This remote is RF and I don't expect Bond to have a problem with it. The other fans are really not important to be smart. I'm really curious about Bond being able to learn IR remotes for other devices like floor fans and portable air conditioners. I have one each in my bedroom so if Bond can learn their remotes and has an IR blaster in it I should be able to install it in that room. The RF fan is in the main Great Room so it would reach there as well.
-
Do you have any fans that you would recommend?
-
I tried to duplicate @apostolakislprogram from his initial forum post and it is working for me as he wants it to. I posted that example. I'm using a 2477D SwitchLinc™ Dimmer INSTEON® Dual-Band Remote Control Dimmer, V.41. In other words, if the light is OFF and you push OFF it goes ON to 25%. If the light is ON at any percentage and you press OFF it goes OFF. My System version: Version 3.0.59 Status: Connected Frontend Version: 3.0.59 ISY Version: 5.4.3 PLM: 2413S Revision 2.4 0318 I hope this helps, unless this troubleshoot has morphed into some other problem.
-
As shown in your example, did you get the Notification?
-
How did the FanLinc handle fan speed? Perhaps, set pull chain for high speed and then slow it down with FanLinc. If so, did you notice any adverse noise from the fan like excessive humming? I'm very sensitive to fans humming. For some reason more than most people and it drives me nuts. I've taken back to the store more noisy fans than I can count.

@hart2hartI see where the Bond Bridge says it supports IR remotes. Being that’s line of sight does the bridge have an IR blaster built in? So that wouldn’t work house wide only for that room.
-
@hart2hart Just so I've got this right. The Bond Bridge would learn the Hunter's remote control by capturing the codes sent over 434Mhz. I could then control the fan via my iPhone using the Bond App thru the Bridge. I could also control the fan with Polisy IoP by using the Bond PG3 Node Server (Isee there is one in the Store). My Hunter Fan is the Apache Model 59226. The WiFi component is what's buggy but the Remote has always functioned, so far. So, I can see where using the Bond Bridge could be reliable over 434 MHz.
-
I'm not certain about this Bond compatibility of my Hunter Fan. The remote is labeled P/N:K5579-02, FCC ID:IN2TX50, ID FCC:IN2TX50, IC:3558A-TX50, Freq:434Mhz. I'm looking around on the Bond website but can't locate any list. It also appears that to learn a remote I would need the Bond Bridge. I've never heard of Bond before and it looks interesting.

thanks. With the Event viewer open and set for Level 3. Select the Z-Wave/Z-Wave Version menu and I find this is shown in the Event viewer Mon 04/25/2022 08:00:35 : [ZWAVE-FW ] Unrecognized Z-Wave firmware version/library [7.15] I've always wondered about that Menu selection because the popup window that is displayed doesn't show the information. Never thought to look in the Event viewer.

Can the ZooZ zst10 700 stick be interrogated thru a terminal session with Polisy to see what version firmware the stick has in it?
-
I bought a Hunter Fan that is WiFi controlled and it sucks. It uses a cloud service called SimpleConnect and Apple HomeKit. It's always losing connection which in most cases means it has to be reinitialized and that requires removing power from the fan. So, if you can't do something with z-wave think twice about a Hunter.
