    I've only read about the HA Insteon Panel for setting scenes and links, is that what your experience is with?

    That's exactly where I'm at today. In fact, I just received my ameriDROID N2+ with the HA bundle and it took about 15 minutes to get it up, running and HA restored from a backup. Really sweet piece of hardware. I also just finished setting up my z-wave devices using the ZooZ usb plugin instead of using Polisy for z-wave. So Polisy only has Insteon. The node servers I was running are now installed in HA directly where they do seem to play better. Should have the USB PLM modem soon and I'll try that for Insteon in HA and put Polisy on sabbatical. I can always go back if a PLM integration in HA isn't fun enough.

    Thanks for the help, that works pretty well. I should have found that in the documentation, but it was looking like it wasn't going to be easy and documented. Would have stumbled upon it but the "event type" in the trigger setup was not a drop-down of available values so you had to really know what would work there.

    I haven't tried the Insteon PLM with HA yet; I don't have the PLM until maybe mid-April. The one clue I have about having success is that Insteon markets their products as compatible with Home Assistant and a PLM or Hub but no mention of UDI. I'm using the ZooZ 700 Series USB stick with HA. Same dongle I was using with Polisy until I upgraded to the infamous but ???? ZMatter/Z-Wave module.

    Oopps. It wasn't the keypadlinc button I was seeing in the Logbook but the Insteon switch that the keypadlinc button was turning on and off. But, it is the button's history that shows it changing between 0 and 255.

    When I press a button on a KeyPadLinc in-wall dimmer switch HA see a state change, like from off to on, as reported in the Logbook. When I view the entity for the button its history is showing changes from 0 to 255. The entity id is sensor.mb_mirror_d_heater so it sees the buttons as sensors. The problem I'm having is detecting either in a script or automation when the button is changing from off to on. If I just trigger on a state change with no values it reacts to that. I'd like to know what direction it's going like off to on or on to off. What type of Action do I use in the script or automation?

    Doing just that with z-wave and when my USB PLM arrives, I'm moving Insteon as well. Bye, Bye Polisy I'm going full Home Assistant.

    The way I'm handling this is to create a sensor manually in the config.yaml configuration file using the template entry. The actual sensor entity name coming over from ISY is sensor.sensor_var_t and the attribute is temperature. The [:-2] filter in the statement is removing the degree F from the attribute value. Same goes for the humidity. So this ends up creating a new sensor called Sensor Popcorn Temperature. I use this in an automation that sends a notification html email to myself.     I must confess. I can't keep track of all the discrepancies I've encounter with the z-wave zmatter upgrades in Polisy and learning Home Assistant. Eventually I get things figured out with work arounds and then a couple weeks later forget all about it. Anyway, z-wave sensor entities brought over with the ISY Integration have their values as attributes not state as normally expected. So, to use their values around Home Assistant you have to make magic happen in yaml. I knew this but forgot about it.

    When I go to the HACS page I don't see an ISY item. My ISY integration shows up on the main Integrations page and there's no indication for an upgrade. I don't revision data anywhere.

    Just to confirm. Can you wake up the device from the AC using the Keep Awake button? I've never been sure of that or actually found it to work. I've always had to wake up the device manually by pulling the cover. My intuition isn't good for the z-wave controls in the AC.

    Not sure when this started, maybe with a Polisy version update. I'm on 5.5.9 with the zmatter module. All z-wave entities of the sensor type are showing as Unknown. In Polisy some are actual temperature and humidity sensors and a few are switch modules with sensor attributes. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? I've rebooted/restarted Polisy and HA and also reloaded the ISY Integration, but nothing has helped.

    Funny, I was aware of those settings, and it didn't occur to me, I should be running with the defaults. Anyway, The AC is now showing readings and it's been about 1 hour. I doubt any of the readings have change all that much because they're in pretty stable environments. Home assistant is still showing Unknown so that's a separate troubleshoot. I still would like to know what the "as designed" process is for IoX. After a reboot will it wait for the device to send data again or display the last known value? Does the AC always show the last reading, and then you wouldn't know that the device quit sending.

    So, I have several ZSE44 TEMPERATURE | HUMIDITY XS SENSORS and their readings had an Unknown status in Home Assistant after having worked for many months. I checked the IoX Admin Console and it was showing values. Poked around some and couldn't find anything obviously wrong so I re-booted IoX from the AC Reboot button and restarted Home Assistant. It's been an hour later and still no values shown in the AC. I've gotten kind of numb dealing with all the z-wave issues from the z-matter upgrade that I never know if it's a normal z-wave operation or a real issue. I can't imagine that all of the sensors have quit working, so I have some questions. When does IoX update the displayed readings from a z-wave battery device? If a z-wave battery device fails, will IoX indicate somewhere that's it's offline or something? What are some good troubleshooting steps for this issue? Home Assistant question: What would explain HA showing Unknown for the sensor when it was working earlier?

    I noticed that when you submit a support ticket, the drop-down list for firmware version on the form has been showing 5.6.0 for a while now. Could be for some other product, but I'm just saying.

    The email suggest that he created the topic himself. I've had discussions with UDI about this and so far they haven't reached out to get unblocked. It's expected that I have to get Outlook to unblock them. The problem there is the industry expects the sender to get themselves unblocked so forms that could be submitted require certain server information like IP ranges and such that I don't have. At this point the hope is that it just goes away on its own.

    You'll find it under HACS. You use it on your dashboard under Add Card.

    You are correct, forgot about it. If I did once a couple of months ago, I lose all memory of it. The downside of being born in 1952. Auto Entities shows up when you click Add Card. Don't recall if that came with HA or I added it. There's probably some documentation on it.

    I installed 2.6.1 and the card configuration looks the same.

    I've got 2.5.3 installed. I would imagine that 2.6.1 would have the same functionality. I'll upgrade and see what happens.

    I'm actually using the previous release. Did not know there was a later one. I've just been using HA for few months myself so I'm pretty much a newbie. Mushroom is one of the first things I set up and haven't done much with it since. Here's what I see using the code editor.
