So are you getting zwave without your dongle and just the matter module?
-
The holes are āDā type where one side is flat keeping the connector from spinning.
-
Well, I couldn't resist so I installed the Matter Module. Looks to me like it's not doing anything, as I expected since it's probably missing the software that utilizes it. Z-wave is not working unless the ZooZ dongle is plugged in so there was no migration to the new z-wave controller. I did an IoT restore from the AC with and without the dongle plugged in but still no z-wave was migrated.
-
Good catch on the IoX. I see the same on mine. I'd like to know if I can install the matter board now or should I wait? I'm using z-wave devices with the ZooZ dongle and would like the z-wave stuff to migrate over.
-
@Michel Kohanim Can I install the matter module now or does Polisy need new software?
-
No, just the antennas and the pcb module.
-
Just received my z-wave/matter board and antennas. Not sure what the upgrade procedure is. Any ideas on where to look? I have the email from UDI Sales describing the hardware installation. It has a few statements on getting Polisy up to date and running IoT. I don't see anything on how my z-wave devices are migrated, do I remove the ZooZ USB stick? These instructions are a little too vague.

I'm following the installation instructions for this node server but after the part where you log in to the Honeywell Home account, I'm not seeing my Honeywell WiFi thermostat. All that shows up is my Honeywell Video Camera. I understand that some Thermostat won't be compatible but how do I know this is the case? Is there a list of compatible model numbers somewhere? I have a Model RTH8580WF

PG3 backup - nothing happens after hitting download
vbPhil replied to Chris McKean's topic in Polisy
I'm using Microsoft Edge browser and I get a popup when doing the Backup which then allows me to set the name and location for the zip file. -
I too had the ISY/IoT email blues. I solved it by using a free SMTP2GO account (1000 emails per month). I'm using port 587 with a 10,000 ms time out. Mail has been working fine since setting this up.

I have an on/off z-wave power device that is only used in the summer. With an Insteon device I would just disable it in the Admin Console and unplug it until the next time it was needed. Should the same be performed with z-wave devices when they're not needed? I see in the Admin Console a z-wave device can be disabled, what does that accomplish? I wasn't sure if there was anything else that needed to be done when removing a device from the z-wave network. -phil

Leviton is labeled as 700 series. I can't find what chipset the Enbrighten has, I think 500 series. I've used both company's wall switches and haven't had any complaints. Even though I retired from GE I'd go with the Leviton.

Thanks. Never fails that when I don't consult the doco the answer is there, when I do it never is.

that worked, thanks. Curious about terms CLITEMP & CLIHUM. I've seen them elsewhere in PG3 for my Wireless Tag nodes. I didn't know it is perhaps a universal or global type of name.

How do I include z-wave humidity data in an email message? I have a Zooz sensor reporting the humidity. It is in the system as: ZW014_118 - Multilevel Sensor. I saw the same discount statement during the order. I logged in but no discount appeared. Held off completing the order to make sure I wasn't missing a cheaper price. My current charge is: $136.12 charged upfront

ooops! Never mind. I typed my.iso.io instead of my.isy.io Sorry for the bother.

I've set up a UD Mobile Notification as instructed using an Admin Console Network Resource. When I Test the message, I'm getting a TCP Client DNS Error. Any thoughts?
-
Thanks for the suggestions. I was committed to the ZooZ, ZSE42. I'll try the others at a later time, especially the Ecolink since it comes with a probe already attached. Meanwhile I soldered a couple wires to the probe contacts and attached a 300-ohm twin-lead cable to use as the probe. Working great so far.

I had been thinking that with other z-wave devices the extra nodes that showed up were valid for the device, but the ISY didn't support them. But when I saw CO & Smoke Detection on this one, I knew it wasn't right and wondered why nodes labeled that way. What determined the text to use, the ISY or is it internal from the device? Any idea?
-
I installed a ZooZ ZSE42 Water Detector sensor and was surprised at all the nodes it created. I emailed ZooZ about it and since they haven't tested it with an ISY they're claiming ignorance. They did say it only detects water. Is there any explanation as to why the extra nodes were created, especially the CO and Smoke Detection? I understand from other z-wave devices that I've installed the extra nodes are just there but aren't used and can be deleted. I guess I'd like the Polisy-ISY to do better or is it just a weakness with the z-wave design?

Is there a way to list all devices in one screen like you can in the Admin Console in order to see the overall status? Now it appears that the top-level view is just showing all my Folders, so I have to drill down in each folder to see the device status.
-
Thanks. I'm curious about how many times your sensors have actually triggered from an event. For my case they will trigger several times a day so I would expect decreased battery life.
-
Has anyone tried soldering a couple wires to the ZSE42's probes in order to sense water at a distance? I don't have one yet so I'm unfamiliar with its construction and operation. I'm currently using a Wireless Tag moisture Sensor to detect when a water barrel is full. I soldered a couple wires to the existing probe in order to sense down in the barrel. When the barrel is full, I trigger a valve and pump to empty it. All is working fine except when the Wireless Tag malfunctions like it did yesterday when it lost Internet connection and then the barrel overflows until somebody notices it. Needless to say, I'd like to eliminate the cloud and was thinking of the ZSE42.
