  1. Just successfully upgraded to 5.5.2 from 5.5.0. I have the z-Matter module (not USB) plugged in Polisy and the z-wave ZooZ USB stick installed. When I start the z-wave migration I get a popup dialog stating that I need the Z-Matter Z-Wave dongle + Beta installed. That's a very confusing statement. I have a Z-Wave dongle and the Z-Matter Z-Wave/ZigBee module installed. No idea what +Beta is. Am I okay to proceed?
  2. I'm confused about the connector setting for the iTach node in AC. It supposedly is telling the node server what IR emitter to output the signal on., 1, 2 or 3. But, I thought the command string was setting what port to use. sendir,1:3,1,36873,3,67,343,167,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,20,22,61,22,20,22,20,22,20,22,61,22,20,22,20,22,61,22,20,22,61,22,61,22,61,22,20,22,61,22,1473,343,83,22,3551 The sendir,1:3 header in the command is telling iTach to use module 1 and port 3. the iTach doco states:
  3. I ended up getting my iTach serviced by Global Cache. For $70 they do out of warranty service. You send it to them with an RMA number and they repair or replace and ship it back. Went pretty smoothly and now I have my iTach back with the Learning in tack.
  4. Try this: To load the ISY Launcher. Use the launcher with Polisy ISY https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  5. The Home Assistant program is classifying a Virtual node server switch as a sensor instead of switch. Perhaps this is an attribute in the node server that can be corrected? That would be nice and helpful.
  6. got tired of waiting for help. Deleted the Virtual server and re-installed it. Re=entered all the node configurations and fixed everything in IoX. Seems to be okay once again.
  7. I've considered that. But didn't want to lose all of my settings for switches I've created. I will try that as a last resort. I have a service ticket in on it but so far, the developer is missing in action.
  8. I wonder how the z-wave migration code is coming along. Suppose we'll see it before Christmas?
  9. @Michel KohanimAny luck rousting the developer to take a look at this? I wonder if the problem is isolated to my install or is it global?
  10. @Javido you have any knowledge of the Virtual node server and why it isn't working for me anymore?
  11. I noticed this morning that the Virtual server says disconnected, not running. I hit Start and it starts up but shuts down right away. This is in the main Log this was in the virtual Log I don't know how long it's been broken as I'm currently using it only in the summer months mostly. Any ideas?
  12. Definitely needs a script improvement. I haven't updated yet, too scary reading about all the issues. Why doesn't UDI provide update instructions to use via SSH SUDO? In the early days I used to do this:
  13. Can we install the 5.5.0 upgrade but continue to use the ZooZ USB stick with existing z-wave network and then run migration later when it's fixed?
  14. Was wondering if my 5-minute Polisy IoP backup times are normal? I have about 200 nodes showing in the Admin console so it isn't all that big an installation. Seems like it used to take a lot less time when using the ISY 994i.
  15. Patiently waiting as of 12/13, Tuesday, 4:33pm MT.

    What is the EISY?

    That helps. https://www.universal-devices.com/product/eisy-home/

    What is the EISY?

The Eisy email today didn't really emphasize much about it being a home automation controller. No words about Insteon, Z-Wave, Zigbee or Matter. It doesn't even have antennas or a serial port for the serial PLM. I wasn't swayed to upgrade from my Polisy Pro anytime soon.
  18. Well, I just smashed the iTach learning receiver LED while trying to reset iTach. There's only one hole in the back to serve as the reset and receiving IR signals to learn. The reset is not a button but 2 contacts that you short together with a paper clip or similar. If you push too far you hit the IR receiver LED and it is very fragile and will break apart immediately. It's a quite small surface mount device that I discovered afterwards upon taking the iTach apart. Anyway, I wanted to learn the remote for a string of colored led Christmas lights. Any idea how I might come up with the correct power on and off codes for it from the global Cache Control Center database? The unit is not in the database by its name. Didn't think it would for this obscure Chinese strings of lights. They're called "Bright Zeal" from Amazon. Do these inexpensive remotes use some sort of standard set of codes that I might try?
  19. I'm going to follow in your footsteps. So, all the embedded software resides on that SSD? I was wondering if UDI publishes the specs on the Polisy hardware? I couldn't find anything that detailed the various modules like the SSD. Be nice to have a manual of sorts for the electronics inside the "shiny box".
  20. Was pondering the Topology Report for its usefulness and ran across this in the ISY 994i Cookbook. The nodescnf.xml file isn't at that location anymore with the Polisy IoT. Any idea where it might be if it still exists?
  21. How does China ever put an iPhone together? I managed to attach the antennae wires as instructed without any problem. Just takes a certain dexterity, tweezers, ESD strap and mat and a headband magnifier.
  22. Ya, I see. I have ZooZ stick installed to keep my zwave running so that’s out. There’s probably a way in terminal mode via ssh.
  23. So, how do you know if the board is working? Is there a status message somewhere or something in the event viewer?
  24. I hope that’s an anti-static ESD compliant towel.
  25. I couldn’t resist the temptation to install it. I thought why would they send me the module with instructions on installing it and no message to wait. Anyway, it’s in along with the ZooZ dongle and all my zwave is still working. Enough experimenting, I’ll wait for more.
