  1. Thanks everyone for the feedback Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I am having a problem where Alexa can’t find a state variable I have set up.It is recognized in MobiLinc but not by Alexa. I have tried multiple times to detect new devices with zero results. Anyone have any suggestions? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Does anyone have a better solution for an open/ close type sensor other than an Insteon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you have a heat pump type A/C do not get the Insteon Thermostat. It does not support a heat pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Does anyone have positive experience with an open/ close sensor other than the Insteon 2843-222? I have a few of the 2843-222 and very disappointed in their battery life. Can’t get more than 60 days before needing a battery change and they primarily only send the heart beat. Any input would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Paul, what would be a better sensor that has a way to add an additional contact such as the Insteon sensor? If no way to add a aux contact I could clip the reed contact and add wires. I also have the zwave board in my 994i. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If I rebooted the 994i could it possibly recover the previous state of that node? Is there a method to force it to either on or off? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks Benoit and Paul. Am I correct in that I would substitute the variable in place of my previous “ if door sensor is on” statement? Is there a way to monitor in MobiLinc dashboard the state of the variable and possibly show this as either “on” or “off” rather than just a “1” or “0”? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Do variables NOT get changed on a reboot? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry Mercer, don’t understand how Alexa fits into what I am trying to accomplish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Am a neophyte re variables, but real good at plagiarism. Could you outline the variables and program that would work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. How do I handle a situation when the controller ( 994i) is rebooted and a remote (limited access) open/close sensor remains stationary, in last known state? Unless the door is either opened or closed the 994i shows a blank status and won’t indicate an on or off until the next time the door is opened or closed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks everyone. Appreciate the great knowledge you all put forth. Looks like O’ll go with the Nest as I primarily want to use with Alexa and secondarily with a program under Insteon. All your info was very helpful, thanks to all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can you provide more info on the optical sensor you are using. I am finding that a float switch which uses a magnetic micro switch does not have enough distance between on and off and also oscillates on/off when water is at the trip point. I need something like a snap switch but can’t find one that will do the job. Someone had suggested a pressure switch but don’t have any experience with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone have experience with the Nest and especially using the UDS 994i along with MobiLinc? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks Paul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Looking to get a smart thermostat and looking for input from the community. I use UDS 994i with many Insteon devices as well as Alexa Echo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Michel, thanks a million. Works perfect. Really Appreciate such a quick response. Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Is there a way to make two keys mutually exclusive? I would like to say, have button B turn on a program to auto run a pool fill device and have button C to run a manual program to fill the pool. I need to have ONLY one or the other prog enabled and never both at the same time. Further I wish to have the LED on each button be on when that button is toggled on and if possible, turn the other button off. The buttons need to light when enabled until either toggled off or until the other button is toggled on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks to all who have responded. I have settled on a flow “switch” instead of a flow “meter”. With the switch I will connect to an open/close device to monitor if water is flowing or not. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Any suggestions on ANY generic type Hall effect type device? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It’s a Uxcell model 9F:1404-0101-00P 1/2 inch that uses Hall effect. Has three leads coming out. Red, black and yellow. Not so concerned about volume of water in any period of time, just want to confirm my ball valve was turned off and NO water is flowing. This flow sensor will be installed after the ball valve and before entering the pool plumbing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I purchased a valve with a flow sensor imbedded and looking for best method to interface with isy994i. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Does anyone know of a simple water flow device that is either Insteon or Z Wave? I would like to verify that water is NOT flowing when solenoid is turned off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Does anyone have a suggestion on a reliable program to do the following while using the Insteon on/off window switch to control an on/off Insteon outlet switch: Between 1:00am and 2:00am If window sensor is on Turn on outlet switch( which will activate a solenoid) Stay on for 45 minutes or until window sensor turns off Verify outlet is off Reset for next cycle Thanks, Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
