Thanks Michel, I thought if I did a query it would update the status of programed devices if they were true at the time of the query.I have a couple of scenes that have mutiple devices set at differnet levels that turn on/off at different times.I was trying to short cut on programing. Thanks Tim

Hi Michel, What I am trying to do is if I have lights on, let say outside coach lights to come on at sunset to 11:00PM at 50% and various night lights dimmed also that stay on all night.If I set a motion sensor for security ALL On when it times out to ALL OFF all the lights that are programed to be on at a certain time and a dimmed level are now off.Is there a way to reset the lights that were on to the state there supposed to be at the end of the run time from the motion? Does that make sense? Thanks Tim

Hi everyone, I have a question about a query? If I have a motion detector trigger an "ALL ON" command lets say for Twenty minutes,then i do a query.Would the lights go back to there status at the time of the query? If not can this be done without a lengthy program?

Hello everyone, I wrote a program for my powder room with a motion sensor and a triggerlinc,I would like to be advised if there is a better way to do this.The problem I am having is the program does not enable sometimes.I want the light to stay on for 2 minutes if someone just walks in(I have the motion set on only programed light on to avoid the 1/2 sec. delay going through the ISY),stay on when the door closes,turns off in 20 seconds after the door opens,and override when switch it touched manually. Hi Michel, I found out what the problem is.I change the content in the email and customize window and now it works.The content I had was this "Mail Just Arrived!${sys.time12}${mod.weather.temp.current}"It had worked in the past do you know why it would stop working?It will not work with text either. Hi Michel, This has worked for a couple months since I made a program for it.I cannot get it to text either.I have another program that notifies me and that one is working with email and text.I tried to make a new program and can not get that to work.Also I been having to reset PLM often to get devices to indicate status and venstar thermostat loses communication regularly.I have no idea if those problems are related but I thought I would let you know.I also checked junk and it is not going there. Hi Lee, Thankyou for helping me out after I changed the way I thought 3,4,5,6-way etc. scenes were to be written I was able to reduce the lincs in the PLM and it did solve the status proble I was having. Thanks Again! Tim

Finally!I GOT IT! I was creating three seperate seens for (Circuit 3 is a 4-way with device E, device F and device G Use ISY Scene C, adding device E. device F and device G as Controllers)one controller and two resonders for each scene.That it why I am over the lincs in the PLM. Thanks Tim

I'm trying to delete some of my scenes because of to many lincs in my PLM.I have a scene for every 3-way application for every device.One controller the rest responders for each scene.If I understand this correctly I could create 1 scene making all devices controllers and eliminate the other scenes in each 3-4way application?

Hi All I have a Question,In a multi switch situation (2-3ways and 1-4way) do I need three scenes to operate this with ISY? Can a device be a controller and a responder in the same scene? Thanks Tim

Hi Lee Took your advice and went to the movies today,but I forgot to stay home we saw the Avengers (Great movie)!I found the ISY linc Calculator and it seems you are correct again I think I am borderline.I do not want to delete my scenes I use them and I like to have all my switches indicate there status and I want to expand my system.I recently puchase the ELK and want to incorporate more of my entry ways for lighting control.will the elk compromise the system more?I also have 2-residential lighting jobs coming up and the ISY application might be larger than mine.I guess the question is there a way to overcome this with the ISY?Is there other systems with larger capabilty.I really like the way the system works with the insteon devices I have bought and used other software that smarthome carries and I do like ISY the best and of course the price is right.Your thoughts would me much appreciated Again Thanks for all your help and time (Check out Advengers) Thanks Tim

Thanks for all your time and help Lee I will try that.One more question what I meant about deleting devices was for instance to create a scene for a three way switch application one responder one controller,then delete the devices and the scene in the ISY.The devices would work (stand alone) I know I would not be able to monitor with the ISY but would the traffic effect the ISY or PLM? I have a lot of scenes with 3and 4ways that I could eliminate. Thanks Tim

What is the proper way to resolve the the problem?

I think I have to many after reading some other post.For an example I have five switches and two motion detectors that control my garage lights.If I were to create the lincs through the ISY and than delete the switches from ISY that do not need to have status indicated or to run programs such as simple closet lights hall three ways I do not use ISY to time out would that be a common solution?
